This was a terrible experience. The guide was a no show and didn't respond to texts, emails or phone calls. This experience waisted the half day I had in the city. I didn't have enough lead time to make other arrangements.
No tour operator available at meeting point. Waited for 45 mts. Contact number out of service. Had to cancel and now waiting for refund. Complete waste.
Very nice experience and all good manners. All the best staff are doing good and beautiful job. Service is excellent. Food is very nice 👍 Tour is wonderful
Our guide Mark made the experience! He was relaxed and flexible in his approach and was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and heritage of Kolkata. It some ways it was like walking round the city with an old friend

Had a great time with family, a must do for everyone who visits Kolkata. I would recommend Calcutta Caravan to everyone, they take really good care of their customers. They treat local customers and international customers the same way and provide individual attention. They even created a personalized itinerary for us. The packages they offer is pocket-friendly. We took a Heritage Walking Tour with Calcutta Caravan. This was a fascinating walk taken by a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide who gave us a lot of interesting information about Calcutta (Kolkata Now). I have been to Calcutta many times earlier too, however never got an opportunity to know the city. Pinning on this walking tour was definitely a wise decision. It was fascinating to watch the magnificent buildings built during the British era and know the history behind them. We also had lunch in The Lalit Great Eastern Hotel, which is apparently the first 5-star hotel in Asia. The ferry ride across the Ganges was so soothing at the end of the tour. The placid breeze was everything we needed to refresh at the end of a super active day. The entire tour was very well planned and timed.

I have lived and traveled in India for over 5 months now and my experience with Calcutta Caravan was definitely one of the most amazing experience I have had. Initially, I was hesitant about the walking tour but I am glad I let my friend talk me into it. As Mark, our tour guide says "The best way to feel the texture of a city is to walk the streets of that place". I can't agree more with him. We walked through the lanes of residential alleys to experience the lives of the locals and it was so overwhelming to see them up close. Would definitely recommend Calcutta Caravan Tours to everyone for their excellent service and professionalism.

Hi Deep, my aunt and family have been delighted with the Calcutta Caravan's hospitality during her last month’s trip to Kolkata. Do send me the pics that you had clicked so that I can share with them. I thought it is important I share her views for everyone to see. She said it was a fab little tour. Snaking across the city, highlighting different areas and stopping for well-chosen snacks and drinks, with careful attention to dietary needs and different tastes it was a perfect mix of just everything that was essential.The stops reflected the diversity of the city and Deep is lovely and enthusiastic.He shared beautiful snippets of Kolkata's rich history and information about the goodies which are just right for the event. I took two walks with them, The White Town Walk & The Black Town Walk. What an experience to know the city with it's diversities and confluence of culture. It was a great decision to take walking tours. It's the best way to know the city . There is so much to see and know while you take a walk. Our guide mark was very informative and friendly and he had a great sense of humor which made our walk enjoyable and happening. I would surely recommend Calcutta caravan to everyone.
