The "luxury van" wasn't luxurious at all. The life of the tour was our guide, Quan or Cute 🤣! Funny guy with a lot of knowledge. I give him 5⭐️. Great great single guy. 🤣
I loved the experience, Quan was very friendly and charming provided us with an unforgettable experience.
From the very start, it was an exceptional experience. Quan did an amazing job of getting all the folks from different locations together on time. It was extremely impressive. Once we were settled on the bus, Quan did a fine introduction and set the stage and mood for the day. I was pleased with the way Quan worked to clarify the steps of our day. The activities were so delightful. I loved the Dragon Peak and the Lotus garden. I appreciated that Quan was mindful of my 69 years and offered an arm now and then on the 500 steps, which I managed to 400 🙂 The buffet was okay. The bamboo River float, seeing the caves, and the lovely scenery, was delightful. It was a wonderful day and will be a treasured memory of my trip to Vietnam.
This was such a great day trip. Everything was well organised and communicated, from the pick up to the end of the day. Our tour guide Quan was really knowledgeable and friendly, he was very thoughtful and well spoken, highly recommend! Lunch food had a variety of options and tasted really good.
A great day trip to explore the beauty of the area. Visited the old capital and temple, had a boat trip on the river “Ha Long on land” and a trip to the Mua cave. Our guide Timber was engaging and informative. The buffet lunch was impressive. Five stars!
The entire experience was truly unique. The boat trip in Trang An felt like watching a two-hour arthouse film. It was a sense of absolute freedom—panoramic, slow-paced, yet rich in every detail. From the marks of time on the limestone caves to the delicate flora and the sight of ducklings hunting nearby, these memories are etched into my soul more deeply than any photograph could capture. Hoa Lu may be modest in size, but the story behind it is powerful. It was fascinating to learn how Vietnam established its independence and built a sovereign nation by leveraging its unique geographical and political landscape. The cycling portion was equally delightful—a relaxing and therapeutic way for an Asian traveler to unwind. Mua Cave was a true test of physical endurance. Once you reach the very top of the mountain, everything opens up. While the view is breathtaking, I must warn those traveling during major holidays: the crowds are overwhelming. The final stretch to the mountain peak is almost like rock climbing and takes a lot of energy and time due to pushy tourists. Also, a serious word of caution: why do people insist on climbing that rugged final section in flip-flops? I strongly condemn this—it's dangerous and irresponsible. The only major low point was the food. I’m surprised people haven't complained. While I understand that tour group meals are budget-conscious, the quality here was baffling. From soup and curry with a "mucus-like" consistency to flavorless fried rice and noodles, it was hardly edible. Traffic during the holiday was chaotic, but opting for the 9-seater luxury limousine was a lifesaver. It made the long jams bearable, and I will definitely choose this mode of transport for all future trips. Lastly, I highly recommend our guide, Trae. Young and energetic, he represents the passion and potential of Vietnam’s new generation. He weaves the destiny of his country with his own family stories, making the history feel personal and lived-in. He told us that being a guide is his life’s calling, which deeply moved me. I look forward to having him lead my next journey in Vietnam.
Our booking agent Sophia was friendly, personable and easy to talk to, especially over WhatsApp! I am so sad to leave a poor review because she tried so hard for us! 1st our guide did not know anything about where we were going, he just said we were there with no explanation of what we were doing or seeing. He did warn us not to buy anything at one stop but nothing about the activity itself. We stood in line for 1.5 hours to take a beautiful boat ride which also lasted about 1.5 hours, this was a beautiful spot and I highly recommend this tour, just not with this company! We booked the 2 day trip with an overnight in Ninh Binh which was fine. The first day was fine at the end of the day the tour guide sent us by cab to our hotel. We asked when we would be picked up and where do we meet the bus, his response was I don't know, I won't be your guide tomorrow but it will be OK. We got to our hotel and recieved a message that our tour was cancelled for the next day because of TET everything was closed. Did they not know Tet was coming? We asked about how we get back to Hanoi and were advised someone would pick us up at 4:30 in the afternoon the next day. They also said they would refund $400,000 VND because of our cancelled trips. The next morning we hired a taxi and took ourself on a tour and returned to the hotel in the afternoon. Our booking agent Sophia kept in regular contact with us and assured us we would be picked up, she was fantasic and should be commended for how he tried to help us. At 4:30 we met another abandoned traveler and waited for the bus that never came. Just after 5 a taxi pulled up and took us to the bus. When we got Hanoi they stopped the bus 3.7 KM from our hotel and told us to get off, because of Tet they could not get closer. At this point I lost my temper and refused to get off the bus! We were no where near our hotel in a strange city with no idea how to get to our hotel. The tour guide finally agreed to hire us a taxi to take us back where they picked us up! This was an absolute disaster!' They did refund us $400,000 of the over $2 million we paid!' The worst part is we were absolutely ok with everything because of the wonderful communication with Sofia but my last straw was when they were kicking people out miles from where they needed to be. I would avoid this company and this tour guide.
Martin our tour guide was excellent. The tour was amazing. My favorite was the river tour where you go through 3 different caves twice. Loved biking through the small town. Check your bike my seat kept falling down. The hike is challenging my husband made it to the top, I have a bad knee and only made it 3/4th the way. LOVED EVERYTHING ON THIS TOUR!
Fantastic day trip which included cycling, historical visit, wonderful buffet lunch, 90min stunning boat ride and a hike up Dragon mountain. Very well organised and Peter our guide looked after us very well. A trip to remember thank you
This tour was the best of all the ones we booked from Hanoi and truly the highlight of our trip. Our tour guide, Will (aka “Handsome”), was incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, and friendly. And we can’t forget the driver, whose impressive skill somehow allowed him to weave through traffic like a racecar driver and still get us there and back in record time. The day was the perfect combination of beautiful scenery, engaging activities (hiking, biking, boating), and the chance to meet wonderful people from all over the world in our group. We would absolutely recommend this tour and hope you’re lucky enough to get “Mr. Handsome” as your guide!
