Heldagstur ved Titicaca-søen til Uros- og Taquile-øerne er en populær og den bedste måde at opleve livet på disse fjerntliggende øer. Med sine 3812 meter over havets overflade (12506 ft.) er Titicaca-søen anerkendt som verdens højest sejlbare sø. Titicaca-søen ligger på grænsen mellem Peru og Bolivia. En stor del af søen tilhører Peru. Det er hjemsted for mange forskellige fjerntliggende øer, hvor fiskeri og landbrug er hovedindtægtskilden. De flydende øer Uros, Taquile og Amantani er de fremtrædende og er åbne for turisme. På denne heldagstur vil du besøge de flydende øer Uros og Taquile Island med vores lokale tosprogede (engelsk og spansk) rejseekspert. Du vil få et indblik i lokalbefolkningens liv her, og hvordan de opretholder deres daglige liv med et minimum af ressourcer. Lokalbefolkningen her er uberørt af modernitet og opretholder deres ældgamle traditioner og skikke. De taler stadig i Aymara og Quechua.

Din episke tur begynder med en overførsel til bådmolen, hvor du begiver dig ud på en 25 minutters bådtur for at se livet på de flydende øer Uros. Når du begynder at sejle væk, vil du få en uberørt udsigt over de snedækkede Andes-toppe på afstand. Når vi når til Uros-øernes kyster, vil de lokale byde en varm velkomst og vil introducere dig til deres liv på denne menneskeskabte ø. Folk her taler Aymara, vores rejseguide vil lære dig et par ord, så du kan hilse på dem på deres sprog. Lederen af samfundet vil demonstrere, hvordan de bygger disse øer og vil dele historien om det. Hvis det ønskes, kan du købe nogle souvenirs her. De lokale vil derefter tilbyde en kort tur på deres totora-rørbåd til hovedøen Uros (dette har en ekstra omkostning på 10 Soles). Du vil have lidt fritid til at slentre rundt, øen er også lavet af totora-rør. Når du har fået dig mæt af historien og udsigten, begiver vi os ud på en 2 timers rejse til Taquile.
Da båden ville nærme sig Taquile Islands kyster, vil vores lokale ekspert give dig en kort information om lokalbefolkningens liv her. Det er næsten 45 minutters gang op ad bakken til toppen, hvorfra du vil komme til at betragte udsigten. Taquile er hjemsted for det bedste andinske kunsthåndværk. Her strikker mænd, mens kvinder spinder ulden. Folk her klæder sig ud fra deres civilstand. Vores guide vil forklare dig dette i detaljer. En landsbyhøvding vil give dig en demonstration af, hvordan de farver ulden ved hjælp af grøntsager. Efter en kort introduktion stopper vi til frokost på en lokal restaurant. Efter frokost vandrer vi tilbage ned til molen og går ombord på vores båd for en returrejse til Puno. Distancen på 36 kilometer (22 miles) vil blive tilbagelagt på cirka to en halv time. Vi ankommer til Puno kl. 0500. Vores repræsentant vil møde dig og overføre dig tilbage til dit hotel i centrum af byen.

We had an amazing experience on the full day Lake Titicaca Tour with Discover Lake Titicaca. Everything was very well organized from beginning to end, and the day gave us a wonderful insight into the culture and traditions of Lake Titicaca. Our guide, Fausto, was exceptional. He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about the history and local communities. His explanations made our visits to the Uros floating islands and Taquile Island much more meaningful. He was always attentive, happy to answer questions, and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the day. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, especially around Taquile Island, and we really enjoyed learning about the traditional way of life, textiles, and customs of the local people. The entire experience felt relaxed, informative, and very well coordinated. A huge Thank You to Fausto and the Discover Lake Titicaca team for making our day so memorable. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Peru, and we would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Puno and Lake Titicaca.
Little content and superficial information regarding the place, the inhabitants, the history, etc., etc. Too much commercial interest in selling you crafts, boat rides, and taking you to lunch at a place that is not accessible to everyone.

A perfect day trip from Puno! One of the guides, Julio, personally picked me up from my hotel and took me to the shuttle bus, which was a great start to the day. I was then placed in Fausto's group, and he was an outstanding guide. His English was excellent, and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the local history and cultures. Pablo was another standout guide who gave entertaining and informative commentary during the boat cruise, making the journey even more enjoyable. Visiting the local families on Uros was a truly special experience, and lunch on Taquile Island was exceptional. We enjoyed delicious quinoa soup followed by fresh trout with Peruvian potatoes, and there was also a vegetarian option available. The transport was comfortable, the entire day was well organized, and it offered fantastic value for money. A must-do experience when visiting Puno!

We did the full day tour with guide Ruben and it was very unique experience. Nancy picked us up from the hotel on the day of the tour and she was very kind and helpful. They also stored our bags while we were on the tour. Taquile island involved a bit of hike but it was very well organised with regular stops. The views were out worldly and the lunch was very delicous. Highly recommend the tour and Discover Lake Titicaca. A big plus if you get Ruben as your guide.

The full day Lake Titicaca tour was an excellent experience. Visiting the Uros Flaoting islands and Taquile Island was fascinating,and the scenery on the lake was stunning. We opted for this full day trip before travelling to Bolivia and we are very happy with everything. The communication, guide, transfers everything was efficient. The guide was very knowledgable. I specially enjoyed the secoond island we visited as it had lot of cultural value and the views were very nice.

This was a perfect day trip from Puno, the pickup was very well cordinated and the guide was very knowledgable and passionate to share information about the local traditions and customs. Lunch was served in Taquile island in a local family restaurant overlooking the valley. Highly reccomend.

Did this full day Lake Titicaca tour and it was perfectly organized, it included visits to two different islands and our guide, fausto was very passionate in sharing his knowledge about the places and culture. The tour included lunch in Taquile island and it was very nice and authentic. the locals on the islands were welcoming and friendly.

Despite the disrupted weather in the morning, everything was great. We had a private tour of the two islands. The sun appeared in a magnificent setting... Two completely different islands... but authentic... Stunning landscapes!

A very friendly guide and professional staff. Everything was perfect from start to end with no unpleasant surprises. The tour included visits to two different islands and locals were welcoming and explained about their traditions and customs. The floating islands was a little touristic but quite different in a pleasant way.
