Elafonisi er en halvø, der ofte er opdelt i to dele af vand, hvilket skaber illusionen af at være sin egen separate ø. Det kan prale af karakteristiske træk, såsom en eksotisk strand med uberørt hvidt sand og blændende turkisblåt vand, der minder om Caribien. Sandet på stranden antager en rosa nuance i mange områder på grund af de millioner af knuste skaller, der bidrager til dets farve. Turen til Elafonisi byder på en unik kombination af aktiviteter, herunder et besøg i et malerisk og gammelt kloster, en strandudflugt og en naturskøn køretur gennem forskellige landskaber. Derudover giver turen mulighed for tilpasning baseret på kundernes præferencer, hvilket giver dem mulighed for at nyde autentisk kretensisk køkken og skabe en personlig oplevelse.

Vi starter turen med at besøge Elafonisi-stranden i cirka 2 timer og derefter to mindre, mindre overfyldte strande. (+ køretid 1,5 time) Gratis adgang til stranden
Et ekstra stop ved Chrisoskalitissa kloster (beliggende på en 35m høj klippe med grænseløs havudsigt) kan varmt anbefales, da det er et af de smukkeste klostre på øen og også placeret mellem de to små strande, jeg nævnte ovenfor. entré er 2,5 €
Voulolimni ligger omkring 500 m nordvest for Chrysoskalitissa kloster. Det er faktisk et lille krater, omgivet af klipper, der danner en lille sø. Det vil sige, det er faktisk ikke en strand, men den stenede "pool" for beboerne i landsbyen Chrysoskalitissa.
Aspri limni Aspri Limni er en af de mest mærkelige strande på Kreta, som næsten ingen kender. Dette er en lille hemmelig strand, der ligger 500 m vest for Chrysoskalitissa kloster. Den nærliggende eksotiske Elafonissi-strand tiltrækker tusindvis af besøgende. Ingen har dog hørt om dette storslåede nabosted. Stranden har fint hvidt sand og nogle steder klipper, og skarpe klipper omgiver den, der minder om en lille hvidlig sø inde i havet.
På vej tilbage til Chania (gennem Kretas vestkyst), kan vi stoppe ved Sfinari-stranden til frokost på en fiskerestaurant, der serverer friskfanget fisk og skaldyr. Alternative muligheder for restauranter er tilgængelige på Falasarna-stranden. Som et resultat vil du besøge fra sydvest til nordvest Kreta (du vil også nyde utrolige landskaber, mens du kører). (+ 1 times kørsel for at nå restauranten) (+ 1 times kørsel for at gå tilbage til Chania by)

Yiannis was the best tour guide. Very flexible with our meeting time as we were coming from the ship docking at port. He informed us hen he arrived and where to find him. Talked with us about his country and the island. Gave us options as to what we wanted to do since it was our day. Went to Elafonisi beach and had towels for us to use. Brought us to a wonderful Greek restaurant for lunch before returning us to the port in time to board our ship. Highly recommend Yiannis as a tour guide for the day.

Yiannis was unbelievable! Great communication and really listens to his clients. He will adjust the tour to your needs and wants. Very clean Mercedes van with a provided cooler of drinks and beach towels. Elafonissi beach is absolutely gorgeous with crystal clear water! We stayed for about an hour and a half and then visited 2 other beaches that are much smaller but also very pretty. We chose the longer drive home that allowed us to follow the mountains along the coastline. We even stopped at his uncle’s fish restaurant that was sooo delicious! Highly recommend this tour or any other tour with Yiannis!

Yiannis was amazing! You will not regret booking a tour with this local! Yiannis shared”his” Crete with us. Elafonisi beach was beautiful, but the cultural, historical insight Yiannis provided truly made the experience exceptional. Vehicle was impeccable, comfortable, and the driver was safe. We are so thankful we got to spend a day exploring the beautiful island with this professional Cretan 😎

Crete was beautiful!! Thanks to our guide Yiannis for showing us all around his home island. We got to ride all through the countryside and saw sooooo many olive trees (Crete has 34 million🤯), goats, sheep, fig trees and donkeys. We also saw several cats, which Robert Berry was thrilled at😂. We went to one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Elafonisi beach has millions of tiny pink sea shells making the sand look pink and there is crystal clear blue water. We went to a Monastery on the top of a mountain and the rode for a couple hours to a seafood restaurant right in the waterfront. I had a grouper grilled over charcoals (it was just caught a few hours before we arrived), John Robert had lamb chops, Robert Berry had the fried baby shrimp(with heads and tails still attached😱) and Juleigh Vena had a hamburger 😂. It was so good!! The restaurant brought me a freshly caught cuttlefish to try. Then some Greek donut holes with honey and cinnamon on them (can’t remember the name). We were worn out and came back to the boat full of food and memories. ❤️
We were a group of 4 females on this tour. Yiannis was a wonderful guide. We started with the pink beach, then a private cozy cove, followed by a drive through the mountains. He gives you clear options to tailor the experience to what you would want to do. I would suggest some form of swimming shoes for the private cove, as the rocks could be tricky getting in. He provides towels, snorkeling equipment, water/soda. He is very a knowledgeable regarding the area. We even saw his cousin briefly! I absolutely would recommend using him if you want a quality tour!
