Vandring i Aserbajdsjan er en yndet aktivitet blandt både turister og lokale. Denne tur giver dig mulighed for at blive bekendt med den lokale kultur og se fascinerende udsigter over Griz-landsbyens natur. Griz er en af de sværest tilgængelige landsbyer i Shahdag-regionen. Lokalbefolkningen tjener normalt for at leve ved at lave tæpper, holde dyr og græsse dem. Tidligere var Griz en fæstning, men nu er kun ruinerne tilbage fra den oprindelige fæstning.

Vejen til Quba. Griz Vandfaldsvandring starter normalt kl. 07:30 med afhentning af gæster fra deres placering i Baku. Første stop er Quba-distriktet som er bedst kendt for sin produktion af utroligt lækre æbler og fine tæpper. Det tager omkring 2 timer at komme dertil. Der vil vi skifte vores biler til off-road Niva Ladas eller UAZ'er, der er mere bekvemme at komme til bjerglandsbyen.
Vejen til Griz Village. På vej til landsbyen vil vi se et stort antal forbløffende udsigter. Hvis du ønsker det, kan vi endda stoppe der for at tage nogle billeder til minde. Det tager halvanden time at komme dertil. Griz er en af de sværest tilgængelige landsbyer i Shahdag-regionen. Lokalbefolkningen tjener normalt for at leve ved at lave tæpper, holde dyr og græsse dem. Tidligere var Griz en fæstning, men nu er kun ruinerne tilbage fra den oprindelige fæstning. Efter ankomsten til landsbyen vil du have en kort pause. I løbet af denne tid kan du nyde en kop varm te i landsbyhuset.
Griz vandfaldsvandring. Efter denne te-pause starter vi vores lette 3 km vandretur til vandfaldet i en lille hule. Om vinteren fryser vandet i hulen, hvilket gør alting endnu mere fantastisk. Spektakulære bjergpanoramaer vil heller ikke efterlade dig ligeglad. Frokostpause. Efter så lang en rejse vil vi vandre tilbage til landsbyen Griz, hvor den lokale familie vil være vært for os, og vi vil spise frokost tilberedt med traditionel kaukasisk bjergopskrift. Alle produkter, der bruges til tilberedning af maden, er lokalt og økologisk dyrket. Slutningen af Touren. I slutningen af turen vil chaufføren sætte dig af til din placering i centrum af Baku. This was a magical experience that stands as the highlight of our two weeks in Azerbaijan. The village is wonderfully remote and really tricky to reach, the driver did a fabulous job of reaching it via a series of narrow rocky roads. Honestly, I don't know how he did it, incredibly skilful, careful and patient. Our guide Sabina was the perfect host and gave us plenty of insight into Azerbaijan and its culture throughout the day. Having tea and dinner in a villager's home is something you'll never forget, while the hike itself provides breathtaking views. As for the frozen waterfall, you're not gonna be disappointed, it is like something out of a fairytale. Check out my full write up on Leighton Travels dot com.
Our fabulous guide Sabina provided my wife and I with a wealth of history of the region which was all very informative and interesting. Great inter action with a local family in a remote area for a delicious lunch. Breathtaking views and she stopped at all the great points if interest it was all very well organized.

The trips with them has been very delightful. I have been part of several group tours. When I first moved to baku , their hiking tours gave me a opportunity of seeing all the places of azerbaijan , including the villages and the country sides ,moutains and forests , unseen waterfalls and snow mountains . They not only provided an oppurtunity to travel but also chance to meet and interact with like miinded people. They provided very cost effective trips and reasonable prices , which attracted the local crowd and foreigners equally well. The tour organisers spoke english quite well and had great organising skills. Over the years I have seen them improving the quality of tours. The travel insurances and the payments and pre-bookings facilities had improved. The one who runs the organisation , puts her heart in to making the travels and trips more satisfactory , and tries the best to get the most out of the trip for her clients , in terms of exploring and giving oppurtunity to interact with the local crowd. The owner herself had been a traveller and which is why they value the experiences and tries to deliver the same . Well organised , punctual , payments are clean, notifications are made promplty. Happy with their trips .
