Fantastic and interesting tour. The first stop was a lovely but typical high end winery, but the second stop was a unique trip to a family run winery that you’ll never experience any other way.

Had a great time on our wine tour with Iro Koliakoudakis! She is super knowledgeable about Greek wines, and always had additional info to share about wine history, varietals, and recommendations to match people's preferences. Her energy is so fun and captivating - we were traveling in Crete with a group of 10+ that wasn't always easy to wrangle but Iro's passion for wine and sharing of information was so contagious that she kept our attention, even after a few tastings! Our group had such a great time. Would highly recommend a tour with Iro - you won't regret it!!

Iro Koliakoudakis was recommended to us by the manager of our villa to help us with a wine tour. Because Greece opened just a month before our trip we were still planning our time in Crete while we were in Mykonos. In addition to the wine tour, at the last minute Iro arranged to have a case of Cretan wines delivered to our villa before our arrival and she came to the villa the next day to do a wine tasting with our group. We could have chosen high-end Greek wines, but chose to do the Cretan wine tasting. Iro is a wine expert and she is so funny and lively. We enjoyed our tasting so much that we all went to the restaurant where she is the sommelier (Periplous in Chania) for dinner the following evening even though we were seeing her the next day for the wine tour. The tour she organized was wonderful. We were in two luxury vans and we went to a beautiful winery that could rival Napa (except even better because they served wonderful snacks with our tasting) and then she took us to a smaller, rustic but charming venue run by two brothers. Their family has been producing olive oil for generations and they decided to try their hand at wine making. A beautiful catered traditional Cretan meal was organized for us. The wines and the olive oil (and the food) were outstanding and we really enjoyed the brothers and the food. Iro is so knowledgeable about wine and about Crete. She explained what we were seeing as we driving to the different locations. Her incredible knowledge and vibrant personality just made for a really special time for our group of 13. I highly recommend any kind of wine-related event with her!

Iro Koliakoudakisis is such a great Greek wine ambassador. We were so lucky to have had her as our wine guide. We saw several really cool Crete winery’s and would highly recommend her as your Guide.

What an amazing experience in Chania Crete. Our wine tour guide, Iro, was an expert not just about their local wine but also about international wine. Iro provided a unique tour where not only we tasted delicious wine but we also learned about the culture and the history of the places we visited. Iro also has a warm, friendly personality and she was very attentive to details. Iro also made excellent recommendations and coordinated another exceptional wine tasting for us in Santorini.

This tour with Iro Koliakoudakis was one of the highlights of spending three weeks in Greece where I celebrated my birthday with 13 friends. She is incredibly knowledgeable about not only Crete wines but wines from all over Greece. Before the tour we had contacted Iro to stock our villa with a variety of local and premium Crete and Greek wines and they were fantastic. Prior to the day of our tour she came to our villa to conduct a tasting. Of course the wine tasting experience was excellent but even more than that, her incredible personality and spot on sense of humor (as in when we began to get noisy she would get our attention by saying “People of America, listen up…”! ) made us all feel warmly welcomed in Greece. Of course the beautiful modern villa with pool and seaside view we stayed in near Chania helped set the mood as well. During the tour we went to two excellent local wineries - one very modern and sophisticated and one very traditional. We had an outstanding lunch in a cave where we tasted the wines. All the wines were terrific. It was an amazing day. Definitely, definitely hire Iro for the best possible Crete wine tasting experience.

Our tour guide, Iro Koliakoudakis, was amazing and very knowledgeable. The transportation was very luxury, clean and comfortable. The scenery route towards the Dourakis winery was amazing. We had a great view of the snowy mountains. At Dourakis winery, we tasted a variety of wines and had some delicious snacks. All of us left with bottles to take back with us. They were too good to miss out on. My group loved it and it was worth every dime! The owner was very friendly! Next we went to a Tavern with an amazing selection of dishes for lunch. We were full from the amount of delicious authentic Greek food the Chef prepared and the awesome wine we tasted! Who doesn't love more wine! Definitely will recommend this tour to anyone visiting Greece!
