Nizwa Fort er et af de ældste forter i Oman og ligger i A'Dakhiliyah Governorate. Den har en unik stor rund form. Dens højde når 24 meter, med en ydre diameter på 43 meter og en indre diameter på 36 meter. Nizwa Fort blev bygget af Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Y`aribi i midten af det 17. århundrede.
Nizwa er kendt for sine sølvsmykker, som anses for at være de bedste i landet. Befolkningen i Nizwa er mestre i Khanjar-fremstilling, anerkendt for sin karakteristiske stil og mønstre og kendt for sølvhåndværk generelt. De laver også kobberartikler, kaffekander, sværd, lædervarer og keramik.

Our tour guide Ahmed was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and we learned so much in this trip at the sites and also about Oman as well. He had a lot of enthusiasm and energy for the experience and made it very fun. It was a great tour and left me with a very positive appreciation for Oman.

As I did a customized tour, I visited only the Bahla fort and the Oman across ages museum. Both places were very interesting and worth of visiting if you are in Oman. My guide Amer was very knowledgeable about the history and the customs of his country.

Our private guide, Ahmed Alghammari, made this tour very enjoyable. His knowledge of each place we went to increased the value of our visits. He had a great sense of humor and was super friendly. We showed him some photos we found on Instagram, and he knew exactly where we needed to go to get those same shots. That saved us so much time! I’d definitely recommend this tour when you’re in Muscat. If you’re lucky enough to get Ahmed, you can expect a fun-filled day and you’ll learn things while you’re at it.

I had a wonderful day with Khalil As well as the main sites we tasted dates and halwa, and blue tea, saffron water and Omani bread. He is knowledgeable, a good driver and able to understand my Australian accent. I highly recommend him

Great tour sites to learn some of the history of Oman with a reasonable pace and the tour guide was excellent.
