One of the best ghost tours in Austin! The tour runs you about $30 a ticket, but all the drinks along the way are reasonably priced and were delicious! Our group was hosted by tour guides Sarina and Sarah, and this was one of their first tours! They did a fantastic job, and were very knowledgeable about the city’s history and the spectral inhabitants that still roam various parts of the state’s capitol. Favorite Bar: Seven Grand Favorite Story Stop: The O. Henry House Favorite Drink: The Penicillin (Seven Grand) Total tour time: 3 hours Rating: 10/10
This was so fun! Rachel was our tour guide and shes amazing ❤️ i liked that at the beginning she asked if we were here more for ghosts or the bars haha so she could tailor the tour to what we wanted. Also im from austin and lived here my whole life and i even learned bew things about tx history which never happens!!! So i appreciated that! Any way like i said rachels awesome and this tour was so cool!
If you love pub crawls and a LITTLE history this is the tour for you. My tour guide was really kind however, the tour itself just wasn’t for me. My friend and I are avid ghost/spooky gals and honestly felt like so much was left out of the tour that could have made it so much more interesting. The bars we stopped at were great and I made new friends but it left us with no chills.
Hi Layla. We are sorry that the experience was not what you were expecting. Our tour is a combination ghost tour/pub crawl that is meant for a fun way to get to know the spooky history of Austin, as opposed to an active paranormal investigation-type experience. We are glad you liked our tour guide and the bars!
Rachel was an awesome host! Very welcoming and added a dramatic twist on the stories! I even downloaded one of the books she referenced.
Excellent storytelling from both people The trainee did very well Excellent bar choices Loved the attire and friendliness of everyone
Don’t purchase tickets to this pub crawl , I bought tickets a month in advance only for them to offer me a refund because they overbooked, a week before the event ,
Rachel our tour guide was great! She was very knowledgeable and a fantastic story teller! I learned so much about the Austin area and it’s history while sipping fantastic drinks. 10/10 would recommend.
Honestly, this is pretty much a rip off and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The advertisement for this experience is misleading and untrue. - There are two different meeting points listed, which generated a lot of confusion - We went to 2 bars, rather than “up to 4” (not including the brewery we met at) - the tour was ~45 min instead of 2.5 hours as advertised - there was no cup or coozie - the ghost stories felt very disconnected and disjointed I understand that things may change due to COVID but wow, don’t advertise and charge $35 a person to walk half a mile and hear some jumbled stories.
Tour was good and interesting hearing the stories. Having drinks made it nice as well. Rachel was knowledgeable and knew her stuff!
Tour guide was un-engaged, late to the tour (we did received a text she was going to be late I will add) had horrible body odor, seemed like she was reading from a script, very fidgety almost as though she was uncomfortable, very rarely made eye contact with anyone and was not inviting at all. Locations we were taken to were so loud you really couldn't hear her. This tour is nothing you would have expected from a Ghost tour booking. It literally is about getting a drink and listening (if you could hear) to regurgitated possible history or word of mouth stories. Deliverance of the information was not well and no reference/connection to where things or locations of what actually happened. Not worth the money spent at all!!!!! Tour notes received via email stated that you would depart from the The Driskill Hotel and return to The Driskill Hotel at the end of the tour. Our tour guide end with stating "well that is it" when we were at the Happy Chick Bar. So, my friend and I had to walk back to the The Driskill Hotel alone to order our Uber. Just not a good experience all around. Save Your Money!!!
