Oplev en af de mest afsondrede dele af Hardangerfjorden på en RIB-safari med små grupper fra Norheimsund. Denne guidede bådtur tager dig ind i Fyksesund, en smal og fredelig fjordgren, hvor store turbåde ikke kan gå. Omgivet af stejle bjerge, vandfald og roligt vand vil du opleve en mere intim side af fjordlandskabet. Undervejs deler din lokale kaptajn historier om områdets natur, historie og fjordliv. Du krydser forbi dramatiske landskaber, bremser ned til fotostop og besøger den vejløse landsby Botnen - en historisk bosættelse, der tilbyder et glimt af livet i denne afsidesliggende del af Hardanger. Fyksesund ændrer karakter gennem hele året. Om foråret og efter regn, vandfald strømme ned i bjergene. Om vinteren, mange fryse ind i slående isformationer. Denne 75-minutters RIB-tur er ideel til rejsende, der ønsker at kombinere naturskønne skønhed, lokale fortællinger og en spændende bådtur uden mængderne i hver sæson.

Samlafjorden er en bredere del af Hardangerfjorden med fantastisk udsigt mod fjeldene og små landsbyer langs fjorden.
Kvamsøy har en vejrstation fra Meteorologisk Institut, der sender vejrdata fire gange om dagen til hele verden, en såkaldt synoptisk station. Vejrstationen ligger ved Austerhaugen. Der er også et lille fyr, der stadig er i drift, på denne haug. Der er flere gravhøje på både Kvamsøy og Tjuvholmen, og der er gjort busopdagelser fra både bronzealderen og jernalderen mellem andre dele af en bronzeaks.
Den første hængebro, der krydsede Hardangerfjorden, åbnede i 1937.
Fyksesund fjordgren er 11 km lang og har den smalleste del af hele Hardangerfjorden. Dette er en smuk fjordgren midtvejs gennem Hardangerfjorden som har dejlige stejle bjergsider og masser af små vandfald.
I slutningen af Fyksesund fjorden ligger den gamle landsby Botnen. En historisk landsby og en fantastisk natur.

Huge fun experience! Proft conducted by a nice guide. Lots of good speed and some guidance along the way. Pass large boat with 12 passengers.

Definitely worth it. We had an amazing experience and had a chance to go super fast through wakes on the fjord. Really fun. Our guide was very nice and shared info about the fjord. It was really scenic and beautiful to see fyksesund this way - an otherwise inaccessible area of hardangerfjord.

Excellent experience- they provide all you need eg flotation suit, gloves, beanie, goggles. The driver Theo was great and we saw waterfalls and most amazing scenery

Fantastic trip with friendly guide, who gave information about the area and also drove the boat just right, fast enough to give us a thrill but feeling totally safe. We came off the boat grinning. Was a bit worried it wouldn’t be worth the bus ride from Bergen, but the bus ride was easy and comfortable and the tour perfectly timed to fit around the bus schedule. Was also worried it wouldn’t be too cold in February, but the kit supplied kept us super warm.

Fantastic ... but watch out for people with back problems ... a bit sporty! But fabulous!!

Travelled by bus from Bergen in a very snowy Norway. Our Rib safari was fantastic, fresh, cold but utterly stunning and our guide was great and very knowledgeable about the small towns we visited. One of the reasons we booked was to get up close with the waterfalls when we got to them they were completely frozen! Which was even more spectacular than could have imagined. We lucked out with the weather, flat calm in the small fjord branches, breathtaking! thanks so much for out trip and thanks to our guide!
