John was a great guide and a good communicator. He was in touch with us before, during and after the tour. We met at Hoa Lo (Hanoi Hilton) Prison and he outlined the itinerary at the start. Because we were early, the line was short and we got in quickly without standing in line. John guided us through with great explanations so that we didn't have to read, although he gave us time on our own, too. He provided us with colder water at the start and purchased some other cold drinks along the way. Plus, John hired Grab cabs to take us to further destinations which was nice on the feet and in the heat. We made the mistake of choosing to be in Hanoi during the Independence Day holiday and the city was packed with people. There was no way that we could stand in line for hours to see several planned sights. But John could pivot and suggest other sights. He also spent more time telling us about Vietnam's political and economical structure that we found interesting. We ended with Vietnamese coffee and snacks on train street in a less crowded area. We were incredibly lucky to see three trains in the span of 30 minutes, a rare occurrence. John has an informative tiktok page with lots of tips for Hanoi visitors called John.local.tour.guide. Very knowledgeable guide, and get to learn a lot about Vietnamese history while seeing different bits of Hanoi

John was a very good guide who gave lots of information and supported us throughout the trip. He was attentive and gave lots of information throughout. The guide was tailored to our needs and likes and we explored many highlights of Hanoi.
Very good experience, John was lovely and spoke great English. He was very knowledgeable about the vietnamese history and explained very in depth about the current vietnamese culture and was very interested how it compares to our own culture.
John was an excellent guide - he was so informative about the sights listed on the tour. As we had already visited the prison he adapted our tour to visit the B52 museum. We learnt so much about modern life in Vietnam and Hanoi as well as about the sights we saw. The mausoleum was a special experience.
