På denne halvdags tur i Soweto, vil din guide tage dig forbi alle hotspots i Soweto. På vej til Soweto går vi forbi National Football Stadium, som var vært for åbnings- og afslutningsceremonierne for verdensmesterskabet 2010. Vi går ind i Diepkloof-området, hvor vi tager en tur forbi sælgere, der sælger næsten alt.
Vi tog afsted til hjertet af Soweto, og kørte forbi Baragwanath Hospital, en enorm taxaholdeplads og den historiske forstad Diepkloof.
Vores første stop i Soweto er ved Motsoaledi uformelle bosættelse. Gå gennem sandgaderne med din guide forbi lokale boliger og en typisk uformel dagpleje, som MoAfrika Tours og alle rejsende sponsorerer ved at besøge gennem os. Hils på og mød folket i bygden og lær mere om deres levevis.

Walter Sisulu Square (Frihedspladsen), formelt kendt som Walter Sisulu Square of Dedication, ligger i hjertet af Kliptown i Soweto, Sydafrika.
Hector Pieterson Museum er et stort museum beliggende i Orlando West, Soweto, Sydafrika, to gader væk fra hvor Hector Pieterson blev skudt og dræbt 16. juni 1976.
Vi går ned ad den livlige Vilakazi Street, tidligere ikoniske monumenter og hjemmene til Nelson og Winnie Mandela og ærkebiskop Desmond Tutu.

my family and I had just did this tour and it was wonderful to get to know soweto, but must of all it was a wonderful experience thanks to Mo, our guide. 1365610 Pending review Absolutely fascinating We were on a private tour but cannot remember who with! However they are all similar. Absolutely fascinating including a drive around the less exotic areas!!! The locals seemed content for us to be there. A different way of life for the 3.5 million that live there…from modest to very very basic. The area around Mandel’s house seemed safe but busy, but you need to be strong with the hawkers. This is a must do, and there are so many different ways of touring, such as walking, cycling, private, group etc. Can certainly take you out of your comfort zone.

This was a really good tour. Nelson was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and made us feel comfortable for the whole trip.

Thomas was a great guide for this tour. It was just me on the tour so I got to see exactly what I wanted. Great history, especially the Hector Peterson Museum. Good communication before and after as well. You do visit a school and are probably going to want to donate a bit so bring some cash.

An eye-opening experience! We got picked up at our hotel and were able to modify the drop of location to the apartheids museum, which was very accommodating. He taught us lots about the soweto, the good, bad and the ugly. We also were able to go to the pieterson museum, during the tour, and walk through one of the settlements, and talk to the people living there. It was also nice to go by car, so we could see all the areas of the soweto. Would totally recommend Khutso as a guide!!
