We really enjoyed this trip from start to finish. Stopped for coffee on a lovely little beach, boat trip was fab and James tour through the rain forest was fab and insightful. Well done James and thank you.
We went on the half day experience which was conducted by our driver/guide, James, who was so knowledgeable and entertaing throughout the whole trip. We were picked up at the marina where our cruise ship tender dropped us and drove out from Port Douglas to a beach stop where we had coffee and pastries from the local bakers. We the drove to the Daintree River where we had a cruise on the river, spotting young crocodiles sun bathing and learning about the various trees and shrubs which bordered the river. When the river trip was finished, we then drove to Mossman Gorge visitor centre which is run by the local aboriginal tribe. James took us on a walk through the gorge and waterfalls, explaining so much about the flora and fauna. At the end of this part of the trip we were offered delicious chicken and salad rolls, again, from the local bakery. Then dropped off in Port Douglas at The Tin Shed, a community pub where we got ourselves a drink. A wonderful day out and Port Douglas is a lovely town. Back in plenty of time to get our tender back to the ship.
Given the fact we had been advised some wild life would be tricky to spot.... this was a very well managed and really interesting tour. James was good fun, informative and delivered the different components of this trip with consumate ease. We were introduced to :- Tree Lizards, juvenile black snake, golden orb spiders, skinks on the Daintree Forest walk... and then x2 adult crocodiles and one year old juvenile on the Daintree river tour. My Gluten free lunch was well catered for and honestly having been on lots of tours real value for money. Thoroughly recommend.
Thanks for the lovely feedback Hampshire Couple . Regards, Chris
WOW what a beautiful place! We had the five star experience from our tour guide James- he went above and beyond to ensure we got to learn about the beauty that is the Daintree forest! He on route to our crocodile tour even allowed us to stop at the beach to ensure we got to soak up all on this trip where we enjoyed a pastry breakfast and fruit platter.James is a fantastic guide and we couldn’t recommend him enough! Thank you James for all of your tips and tricks also provided for Port Douglas!
Thank you James, your kind words are very kind. Thanks for the 5 stars. Regards, Chris

Thanks for the kind feedback Maria. Regards, Chris
James was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting information-we really enjoyed the tour. Today we set out from our hotel for a small-group excursion to the Daintree Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The rainforest itself was incredible, and during our walk we even spotted a Boyd's forest dragon -a real highlight of the day. We also tooka scenic eco-cruise in search of giant saltwater crocodiles in their natural habitat and were lucky enough to see two of them. After the cruise, we visited the Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre, which replaced the Discovery Centre on the itinerary, and it gave us an even deeper insight into the tropical rainforest ecosystem. After exploring, we returned to our hotel and had the rest of the day free to relax. (Included: Breakfast, Lunch)
I had a great morning with Dale and James who were very friendly and accommodating. Dale’s knowledge was fantastic and interesting. The River cruise was shorter than advertised but at no fault to Dale or James. Mossman gorge was the highlight, very beautiful. Thanks guys.
Thanks for the kind feedback Lisa. Regards, Chris
A good overview of the sights and sounds available. Tom however spoke as if he was teaching a group of 8 year old which became a little irritating. He was very knowledgeable, and would fabulously well in an educational situation, but as a tour guide I felt he was somewhat lacking.
This tour was extremely disappointing. We started with the Daintree River in the gift shop and snack bar where it was suggested that we buy ourselves drinks and snacks — we were literally going to be on the boat for less than an hour. Then we were taken out to the boat and onto the river which was at very low tide meaning that we covered very little ground. I guess for those who haven’t see crocodiles, it was interesting. Then we got back on the bus and were taken to the Daintree River. The description from our hotel said that we would also be served tea and I have seen other reviews that mention that the food was good but other then telling us to buy snacks at one stop we were not offered any food. Oh, and if you choose to dunk in the river, you will be wet for the journey home. Overall, I would not recommend this tour.
Hi Boston, I think you may have travelled with a different company, we definitely have lunch and refreshments built into our tour and there has never been an occurrence where this has not been provided to our guests during one of our tours. Thanks and regards, Chris
