Al Khor er en kystby i det nordlige Qatar, der ligger 50 kilometer nord for hovedstaden, Doha. Regnes som en af Qatar største byer. Al Khor er hjemsted for mange ansatte i olieindustrien på grund af dens nærhed til Katars nordlige olie- og naturgasfelter og Ras Laffan Industrial City. Det er et af de foreslåede spillesteder til Qatar 2022 verdensmesterskabet.
The Purple Island, også kendt som Al Khor Island, er et smukt sted i Al Khor, omkring en times kørsel fra Doha. Det er en lille ø, forbundet med fastlandet af en smal sti, der er brudt på forskellige punkter for at lade vandet strømme mod mangroveskoven.
Al Thakhira er en by på kysten af Al Khor kommune i Qatar, ca. 7 km nordøst for byen Al Khor City og 60 km (37 mi) fra hovedstaden Doha. Det er tæt forbundet med Al Khor City, hvor begge er blevet grundlagt af Al Muhannadi-stammen. Ligesom andre kystbosætninger i området, stod dens indbyggere historisk alene på perle og fiskeri efter næring
Al zubara også kendt som Fort Zubara (h) er en historisk militær fæstning fra Qatari bygget under opsyn af Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani i 1938.

It's a great time to see the real side of the country.
Excellent trip. Our driver and tour guide Junaidd was courteous and respectful. I was travelling with my elderly Mother and niece and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the sites we visited. Enjoyed this experience immensely and would highly recommend! Thank you Junaidd!
Great trip to see Qatar! Javid took us to three sites ( a fishing area/market for processing fresh fish, a mangrove swamp and purple island and then the Al Zubarah fortress replica) . This provides a fairly thorough coverage of the key attractions of Qatar that are not in Doha. He also provided us with chilled water bottles during the trip and took great pictures of us at different locations!
Great tour! A good combination of history, nature a local fish market. Our tour guide, Junaid was very nice, knowledgeable and shared with us a lot of information and his love for Qatar. We are very happy we did this tour.

Great North Qatar tour, visiting the fish market, mangroves and the old fort. Junaidd was a brilliant guide, punctual, informative and very cheerful. Recommended.
Our guide Junaid was great, we got to know much more about Qatar and its life and history. Tour itself was also nice, with Mangrove forest as a highlight. Rest of the places (fish market and fortress) were nothing that special but stilll worth to visit if you are already here.
We had an outstanding experience going with this tour. Our guide/driver Junaid was friendly, punctual, and very knowledgeable on the culture and history of Qatar. The selection of sights of interest was also great to fit in half a day.
