My Daughter and I immensely enjoyed this experience. The equipment, motorcycle and sidecar were in excellent condition. Getting up into the mountains on Madeira was a thrill. The landscape and views are stunning. The best part of the tour was our drivers, Nuno and Gil. Really knowledgeable and pleasant to spend half a day with. The ride was really fun. Note if you thing you're too old to do this I'm 75 and had a great time.

You could queue for an hour and do the rather tame 10 minute toboggan run. You shouldn't. You should do this instead! It's great fun. Faster, the wind rushing round you, the engine thumping away beside you. Two hours of sightseeing and enjoyment with a knowledgeable guide. Nearly as good as driving the outfit yourself! My dad and I spent a half day with Gil & Nuno and it was absolutely amazing! Both of the guys were incredible, they showed us beautiful places, explained the history, but also let us kick back and enjoy the ride. The actual sidecar ride was so much fun but Gil & Nuno made the experience a special time for my dad and I! We were picked up promptly outside the cruise ship exit by Tino. We were taken along the coast and up into the hills along the west side of Madeira. We really enjoyed the tour despite it being a bit cold and windy. We had a break for coffee and poncha then taken back in to Funchal and dropped off there at our request. The tour was great fun, Tino was very informative and above all we felt very safe. Would recommend.

Our tour with Madeira Sidecar Tours was one of the most interesting and memorable part of our trip to Madeira Island. Riding through scenic roads in a vintage sidecar is such a unique way to enjoy beautiful viewpoints and we also "discovered" some hidden places we otherwise would not have found on our own. Our guide was a friendly local who was not just professional, but also full of knowledge about the history and culture of the island. We stopped at several viewpoints with such amazing views of the ocean and mountains and everything felt relaxed, safe, and well organized. Highly recommended if you want a unique sightseeing tour in Madeira and a different way to explore the island.

I booked the motorbike & sidecar tour through P&O during our Christmas and New Year cruise, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the entire trip. I’m a biker myself, and with the weather being absolutely beautiful, this experience couldn’t have been more perfect. I was met by Filipe on his Ural motorbike and sidecar, and from the very start he was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and easy to get along with. We chatted about motorcycles throughout the tour, which made it feel much more personal and relaxed rather than just a standard excursion. Filipe took me to several stunning viewpoints around the island, and the views were absolutely spectacular – some of the best scenery I’ve ever seen. He was extremely knowledgeable about Madeira, sharing interesting facts and local insights along the way, which really added to the experience. What truly made this tour special, though, was Filipe himself. He’s a genuinely great guy – friendly, passionate, and clearly loves what he does. You instantly feel at ease and know you’re in safe hands. I can’t recommend this trip highly enough. This was a wonderful trip that we did pre Covid. Such fun. Our guide was knowledgeable and charming and we could hear husband commentary through headsets in our helmets.

We explored the west side of the island and learned so much about life on Madeira and enjoyed beautiful views! The drivers were so proud to share their knowledge with visitors. A great introduction to Madeira. We were a group of 6 that split into three motorbikes. Tino was a confident, and fun driver! I thoroughly enjoyed our tour.
