Er du træt af bystøj og en tempofyldt livsstil? Så vil vi varmt anbefale dig at besøge denne tur på en af dine første dage i Holland! Vi mener, at blomstrende haver, gamle træhuse, hyggelige grønne gyder og fabelagtig æbletærte serveret til frokost ved bredden af en kanal, der er bevokset med æbletræer og hortensia, er en af de bedste medicin mod byernes travlhed! Vi mødes på Amsterdam Centraal Station, hvorfra vi tager en bus for at køre til de fantastiske byer - Edam og Volendam. Rejsetiden tager ikke mere end 20 minutter. Spadseretur langs utroligt smukke gader med udsigt til kanaler, uendelige marker med træhuse, gårde og vilde svaner. Flere ture (mad, historie, gadekunst, arkitektur, moderne kunst, museer, små byer, landskab, på cykel, skibe, balloner, fototure) i Holland på Snurk.Travel.

Amsterdam Central Station - vores mødested. Derfra tager vi en bus til de fantastiske byer - Edam og Volendam. Rejsetiden tager ikke mere end 20 minutter.
Edam City Center - en spadseretur langs utroligt smukke gader med udsigt over kanaler, uendelige marker med træhuse, gårde og vilde svaner, vi vil se en masse sightseeing, såsom: Weigh House, landets mest pukkelryg, ostemuseet, den katolske kirke og masser af hyggelige hofjes! Vi har en masse historier at fortælle dig, der starter med denne bys historie og traditioner og slutter med landbrugsinnovationer!
Vægthus - der vil vi gerne fortælle mere om hollandske handelstraditioner, ostemarkeder og dens indflydelse. Lad os finde ud af, hvem ostekongen er, og hvorfor osteportører stadig får et stykke mandelkage som deres lønninger!
Gamle hofjes - lad os besøge en af de smukke hyggelige gårde, hvor vi vil diskutere middelalderens velgørenhedssystem i Holland og moderne sociale boliger;
Volendam City Center - vi vil gå tabt i de hyggelige gader i denne fiskerby, gå rundt i promenaden med udsigt over lystbåde og smage nogle lokale delikatesser, såsom berømt hollandsk sild og ost! Lad os opdage nogle lokale traditioner og mystiske sagn, gadeskulpturer og hemmelighedssteder, som f.eks. Kunstophold, der er lavet specielt til hollandske og franske impressionister!
Familierøgeri - efter rundvisningen vil vi anbefale dig at blive i Volendam lidt længere og spise en dejlig frokost i et af landets ældste familierøgerier - bedste sted at smage en lækker ålesuppe serveret i champagneglasset! (undtagen mandage)

We always wanted to see not only cities in the Netherlands, but also villages. One day we went with a wonderful guide, Ekaterina, to Edam and Volendam. We were doubly lucky - the weather was wonderful, and this day coincided with the celebration of King's Day in the country. We saw many cheerful residents and festively decorated streets. I really love leisurely walks, when you can stop for coffee at any time or linger in a particularly liked place. Ekaterina flexibly adjusted to our wishes, but at the same time conscientiously "worked out" the entire informational part of the excursion. We learned a lot about the traditions and cultural characteristics of the inhabitants of Dutch villages, many facts about agriculture, cheese making and history. We were amazed by the attitude of the country's residents to cows and other livestock and their real care for them. We had two stops - one in Edam for coffee and homemade apple pie made according to an old recipe (mmm... very tasty!), the second in Vollendam for lunch in a wonderful restaurant, which is famous for its smokehouse. It was enjoyable to see older canal homes and understand the history and seeing the outlying area. Our guide was informative and knew her history. More guidance could have been given on the best route to meet the guide. We wasted time and money in travel.

We have just returned from a tour of Edam and Volendam where Sergey discovered for us a part of the Netherlands that is so different from our already beloved Amsterdam! It was such a wonderful, calm, soulful walk - not at all like a standard excursion! We saw and felt the slow and quiet rhythm of small towns, and were enchanted by the green and flowery streets, cutely decorated courtyards and delicious cafes and restaurants! The personal tour was highly professional, easy, educational, fun and even delicious!!! We will contact SNURK TRAVEL again and again for new emotions in different cities and countries!!! Maria was incredibly nice and easy-going during my family's 3 hour day trip around two towns outside of Amsterdam. These two communities differed significantly in traditions and Maria's discussion and engagement about each's characteristics made it really special. My family and I were pretty worn out from traveling that morning but Maria made it a great time nevertheless! Maria was accommodating and flexible to our pace and was genuine, honest, and funny as she answered our raining of random questions. I would love to go on another of Maria's trips!

Our guide was very punctual. He was waiting in front of the train station with a sign that had the tour company's name on it. This made him very easy to locate. We took the local bus to Edam and Volendam. That in itself is an enjoyable experience as you see so much countryside dotted with farms and canals. The guide was very friendly and informative. There were lots of visual aides that helped to see what the towns looked like in the past in comparison to the current landscape. He knew all kinds of interesting history and quirky facts of both Edam and Volendam. Both towns were beautiful in completely different ways. This is a perfect day trip from Amsterdam. It gives you a break from the chaos for a few hours in a much calmer setting. We highly recommend this tour.
