Denne lagune og landsby cykeltur går i dit eget tempo. Du kommer væk fra den slagne vej med en let 7,5 km (12 km) tur fra ca. 2,5 til 3 timer (eller mere) afhængigt af hvor behagelig du er og hvor hurtigt du ønsker at cykle. Turen forbliver primært på grus og grus spor og viser dig lokale industrier, lagune og mangrover, fauna, flora og møder også lokalbefolkningen. Hvis du ønsker at holde sig væk fra de turistmæssige områder og opleve lokalbefolkningenes livsstil mens du cykler, er dette en perfekt tur for dig.

Vi starter vores tur kl. 8.30 for morgenafgang eller kl. 14.30 for eftermiddagsafgang. Hos rejsearrangørens hus vil du blive forsynet med velkomst- og turinformation, flaskevand, hjelme og en bycykel eller mountainbike til din størrelse. Efter en kort briefing starter du turen med vores erfarne engelsktalende lokalguide, som tager dig først gennem små grusveje gennem en lille lokal landsby til lagune- og mangroveskove. Undervejs kan du opleve den lokale livsstil, planter, dyr, kultur og lokal biodiversitet i Sri Lanka-mangroveskoven. På denne tur besøger vi lokale traditionelle industriers kokosnøddefabrik og Handloom-fabrik (ikke om søndagen). Forfriskende kongekokosnød afvikler din tur, før du går tilbage til den endelige destination.

We booked a cycling experience and our guide Chatothu was incredible. His local knowledge was really good and the kids were thoroughly engaged. He was safe and a really good guide. I think we had around 4 hours in all, which included a visit to the coconut rope making factory and the handwoven textiles factory.. both really good experiences and definitely worth seeing to gain an insight into the hard work that goes into certain everyday products. We would recommend this tour for anyone visiting the area (we came up from hirketiya) we stopped for coconut water and fruit from a local seller which was lovely as well.

Excellent cycling tour from a very friendly team at Chameera cycling, who also arranged all the stops and payments throughout the tour so it was interesting but relaxed. Beautiful scenery and a nice refreshment stop too - would highly recommend the morning tour for wildlife (& weather)!

I had the most amazing experience on my bike tour, off the beaten track. Saw amazing wildlife that my tour guide pointed out. He was very knowledgeable and safety aware. I would throughly recommend this, an high light.
Great experience with our guide Chattu. He knew all about the local plants and animals. Lovely scenic bike ride around the local streets and mangroves. Easy ride. Fab to see water monitor lizards and the giant bats. Stopped at the local handloom factory and coconut coir workshop. Which was very informative. There is a shop selling the handmade clothes which are quite expensive and the follow you around. Don't think they were happy we didn't buy anything.
