Halpewatte Tea Plantation Tour i Ella, Sri Lanka

Vores operationer starter omkring 8.00 om morgenen og går indtil 4.30 om aftenen. Mellem disse tider kan du komme og tage din tur. Også, en tur tager normalt omkring 40 minutter til 1 time at fuldføre. Når du tager på plantage tur, skal du deltage i te-plukning session. Før sessionen udførte vi den sædvanlige tilbedelse af Lord Ganesh på en lille kovil tæt på plantagen. Du vil også modtage din kurv til at høste te, samt et lille motto. Hvis du beslutter dig for at deltage i te plukning aktivitet, kan du helt sikkert bære den sædvanlige te plukker tøj af en wraparound saree eller sarong. Slap af blandt den betagende udsigt over uendelige grønne områder, teområder og det omkringliggende landskab på vores Sky Café fra en bjergtop på 300 m over jorden / 1300 m over havets overflade. Deltag i en unik te-smagningserfaring og opdag hvordan og hvorfor Ceylon te kommer i forskellige kvaliteter og smage, der passer til forskellige paletter over hele verden.

Sallay was a great guide, he gave us a really informative explanation of the tea picking process and helped us to pick our own tea leaves. He also shared all the types of tea with us and was generally a pleasure to spend an hour or so with. Would really recommend this experience.

Wearing the traditional basket and learning the art of harvesting was fascinating; we were shown how to select the right leaves and the characteristics and differences of the various types of tea.
