The guide was exceptional. He gave us a great talk on the way out with lots of historical and environmental facts. Who knew ‘salary’ originates from the first salt trading? Brilliant advice on how to get the most of our time there with a great walking route. We had time to take a boat on the lake for the best view of Hallstatt thanks to his guidance. Well worth the money
For a bus tour involving a lot of drive time, this was surprisingly well organized and worthwhile, Hallstatt is a postcard Alps village with more tourists than residents, but it has a fairy tale vibe despite the crowds. Maria is an excellent guide.

Very good tour, Halstatt itself was beautiful. Well worth doing and because it leaves early in the morning Halstatt less crowded

Excellent! Our trip to Hallstatt was perfect. The bus rides to and from were timely and smooth. Mitch was an excellent guide. He provided the perfect walking tour, which we followed. His recommendations made the experience feel like a personal guided tour. I would definitely recommend for an stress-free day trip to a beautiful location.

Worth every penny. Great driver and guide. And the city is incredible. We did the boat ride there and really enjoyed the views

The commentator, Max, was great. He confirmed the language the majority of people spoke prior to leaving. He provide facts and jokes on the drive up but kept it to a level people could follow. Never gave too much such that you could not remember the last fact. He even stopped at time to provide updates to a couple that didn’t speak English (language used for our trip). Prior to arriving he gave options of things to do in town and around it like the funicular to the salt mines and overlook point. Our driver, Sammy, handled the bus expertly.

Scenery from bus both to and back from Hallstatt was gorgeous. Hallstatt pretty crowded but lake and mountains beautiful.

Great idea to get going early to Hallstatt - 08:15 - as by the time we left the place was overcrowded with more tourists. This was a bus tour, no toilet on bus, WCs at the destination, all paying ones of course. Curtains on the windows BUT passengers on the way home shut them to block the sun, then fell asleep, so we were unable to see what the tour guide was pointing out - so annoying. Apart from that, this is a beautiful heritage listed village south east of Salzburg, 1.5 hours away. We were in luck as the newly renovated funicular and skywalk had just opened the previous day - well worth the trip up the mountain for the view @E29. Plenty of places for food etc; best quality souvenirs at the Skywalk shop - lots of salt themed items but good quality. And bus departs strictly on time - it does not wait if you're late back. But there's a train over the other side of the lake that goes back to Salzburg just in case. Tour commentary intersting, guide Max very knowledgeable.

Hallstatt was beautiful and enjoyed the area once we arrived, however felt they packed us all into the bus like sardines and the bus was very hot. Uncomfortable ride.

Toilletes were very poor......too few, lines too long ; money for toilet machinem sometimes denied entrance even after putting the required coin into machine!
