Rejseplan

Haller park is a perfect place for families and schools. Safety is a priority and animal welfare is good. Keep it up Team Bamburi Ecosystems
We were picked up at our hotel by Pullmans before lunch so couldn’t eat. We then had to wait an hour at the park for a separate guide who had been with two other groups in Mombasa to turn up and show us around. When I complained about this upon his eventual arrival I was told we had to wait for these two other groups to have lunch. So he wasn’t late - this had been the planned schedule by Pullmans all along - for us to sit around twiddling our thumbs, hungry and in the heat for an hour (there is nowhere at the park to buy food or drink). Clearly Pullman’s is combining groups to maximise profits. The guide was defensive and rude when I complained, chanting “hakuna matata” at me to try to placate me. Once in the park we had to wait even longer for the two other groups to use the facilities because of course they had had the privilege of having a leisurely lunch before they arrived. Once the guide started taking it was clear from the start he had no idea what he was talking about - told us a giant tortoise was 250-300 years old -really?!? Later on he suddenly exclaimed “quick we’re going to miss the hippos being fed”, then immediately stopped to start telling us about various trees. At that point I realised I was better off walking around the park alone and the only thing Pullmans were good for was the ride home. This is not a half day tour - it’s a 1hr 45 minute tour (and we spent nearly 4 hours getting there and back). I was told our guide wasn’t late, he was accommodating the other two groups - so in my view that’s false advertising. One hour 45mins is not half a day. In all honesty, if you’re doing a safari just give this place a miss, it’s not worth it.
The favourite part of my holiday to Mombasa was my visit to Haller Park, it was a dream come true as I feed the Giraffes and took pictures with them, just like I had always wished for. Thanks to one of the tour guides of the park who took us round and helped in taking pictures.
My wife and I really enjoyed our last day in Kenya with this trip. Thank you very much for the wonderful experience.
Very exciting visit to a park where animals live in their natural environement. The guide was great and the driver was very supportive.

Great driver and guide. Very knowledgeable at the park. Amazing to have Giraffes eat out of one's hand.
