Det glitrende Grand Palace i Bangkok er et arkitektonisk vidunder, der engang var hjemsted for Chakri-dynastiets konger.
Wat Pho er et af de ældste templer i den thailandske hovedstad. Det er også et af de største tempelkomplekser i Bangkok og har den største samling af Buddha-billeder i Thailand. Wat Pho fastholder titlen som landets tidligste center for offentlig uddannelse, med speciale i religion, videnskab og litteratur. De fleste af de udstillede Buddha-billeder blev bragt til Wat Pho efter ordre fra kong Rama I fra forladte templer i Ayutthaya og Sukhothai.
Et ophold i den thailandske hovedstad er ikke komplet uden at besøge Wat Arun, Daggryets tempel, et af Bangkoks mest berømte vartegn.
