Fortet selv er en af de største middelalderlige befæstninger i Indien - 15 store tårne, 51 små tårne og 446 åbninger på tværs af 11 kilometer vægge, med et akustisk system så præcist konstrueret, at et enkelt håndklap ved basisporten er klart hørbart i de kongelige lejligheder 90 meter over. Shashi was an amazing guide! She shared so much, not just during the tour but from the moment she picked us up. She shared lots of detailed information about the sites but also about the culture and the city itself. She also brought us to a very local and authentic tea house, where we had the best cookies of our life! It is a bit expensive for a half day tour; but compared to other cheaper tours we did in other cities, this one was by far the best! It was an unforgettable tour which we can’t but recommend!

My husband and I booked this tour as a way to learn some of the history of the city. “Jolly Jon”, our tour guide, picked us up in a car with a driver and took us to see the fort and nearby tombs of the royal family. Absolutely fascinating! Jon is passionate about sharing the history of his city and country. We were really able to envision life in the fort and surrounding area. This was a tour we won’t forget and would highly recommend.
