Our guide Ricardo took us around Zurich showing and telling us about the history in this city. He is a great story teller and answered all questions we had. Very nice tour and a very nice man.
Our guide, Ricardo met us at our hotel and took us around the city showing us beautiful churches, artwork, oldest areas of the city, and scenic views. He made sure to ask our interests so he could take us to all the areas we wanted to see. We even saw a recently discovered Roman ruin (Roman bath house). If you are planning a trip to Zurich, make sure to book a tour with Ricardo at Swiss Epic Tours!
We did a 2 hour walking tour of the old city with Ricardo that was fantastic. He gave us a lot of history background of how Zürich came to be today, parts of the city we would not have known to look for, and recommended a great authentic Swiss restaurant.
Touring Zurich with Ricardo was the highlight of our Switzerland trip. His warmth, professionalism, and deep knowledge made the city come alive. From historic alleyways to lakefront views, he tailored the tour to our interests and made it feel like exploring with a friend. The driver was very nice and knowledgeable but picked us up so early we didn’t get to see or do what we dreamed, planned or hoped to do. We were really looking forward to eating fondue, experiencing the Lindt Chocolate Museum and going inside of a watch store in Bahnhofstrasse. Our tour ran from approximately 8 am until 10:00 am so nothing was open yet. We were told that the chocolate factory was too far and we probably would not be able to get an entry ticket anyway. Fortunately, we were able to purchase a few watches from the airport. We basically paid for a ride to and from the airport and to walk in the cold 30 to 40 minutes. Not the memory of Switzerland that we dreamed of.

I have checked our correspondence and the booking details to check what went wrong - since we always strive for perfection on the tours. I see that you booked the 2 hours Zurich highlights tour with us, and your wish was to be picked up and dropped off at the airport. Your flight was scheduled to land at 07.40 h and at 07.55 h we received a message from you that you were ready to go - and where you could meet your driver guide. We picked you up at 08.00 h and dropped you off back at the airport at 10.00 h as scheduled. In between we showed you the highlights in Zurich City as per the tour description - we allocated a superb guide for you (Celio) - you can find reviews about him on this page. I am very sorry to read that your expectations about the tour were not met, but I feel like the Zurich highlights tour was not the type of tour you were looking for. Lindt only opens at 10.00 h - and without prebooked tickets, you can`t visit the museum last minute. The Zurich highlights tour does not include a Lindt visit. If we would have known your preferences, we would have certainly advised you to book another tour. I hope this makes sense. Ricardo was an informative and charming tour guide! He did a great job touring us through the city and helping us understand the history of the city.
I have booked a guided tour of Zurich Old Town, lake cruise and Lindt home of chocolate for a large group of delegates in November and had a great experience with Swiss Epic Tours. Hadassa made sure everything is organised smoothly. Vasilis (tour guide) was friendly, fun and shared a lot of knowledge about Switzerland, Zurich and its people. Celio, our tour guide, met us on time and a at our agreed upon pickup location, driving a comfortable SUV. We hit the highlights of the old city by car, then did an hour long walking tour through part of the old town and walked up to an overlook of Zürich’s Limmat River, a picturesque site and place to point out landmarks. Celio, an affable student of history narrated along the way and kept our curiosity piqued and thoroughly answered questions. He kept a comfortable walking pace and returned us to the airport to continue our travels.
My guide was very professional and knowledgeable about everything. I was able to see much of Zurich in a few hours to give me highlights of where to visit the ensuing few days and ideas of where to go outside of Zurich
