Stayed at Clayton hotel Cardiff lane for three nights. lovely place, delicious breakfast. was told by a friend that I must visit temple bar, which turns out to be a huge tourist area. was told by locals that I really didn't need to visit temple bar. locals were correct but I'm glad I saw for myself that temple bar is just a crowded tourist area. I preferred the non tourist areas and did a lot of walking outside of temple bar. enjoying a Guinness with locals at out of the way pubs was a great experience; the locals are friendly and full of information about Dublin. Dublin castle was completely closed to the public because Ireland is hosting the Presidency of the Council of the European Union; the castle will be closed until January, 2027. Disappointed that I was not able to visit the Veronica Guerin memorial which is located on the grounds of the castle. had a fun time (great photo ops) at the illusion museum and the national leprechaun museum. a friend stayed at The Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel which has a great rooftop bar; at the time of our visit, people of at least 51 nationalities were employed by the hotel. was lovely to chat with staff from all over the world. did a bus trip to Belfast; this was a highlight of the trip and, if/when I return to Ireland, I will spend more time in Northern Ireland. Stayed two nights in Rostrevor, Northern Ireland; a great place to immerse oneself in local culture, away from tourists. Also, Major General Robert Ross was born in Rostrevor; he was in command of the burning of Washington, including the White House, in 1814. He is commemorated by a 99-foot granite obelisk near the shoreline of Carlingford Lough. also, if in Dublin, make the trip to Sandycove when you can swim at the forty foot (as featured in series Bad Sisters). Lovely area and a refreshing swim in the Irish Sea.
The Guinness experience was a fun and interactive, curated experience. Family-friendly and includes a pint in the amazing rooftop bar
Well worth a visit really enjoyed it. Pity the welcome was done by a New Zealander, it would have been great to have been welcomed by an Irish voice!
This is the best tour experience I've ever had! You get a great appreciation for the Guiness culture and the effect it has had on the community. I highly recommend this tour.
So worthwhile! I’m not a drinker but now I’m a fan! Very interesting! Join a tour when you go in as they are happening frequently. Had a fantastic lunch at Arthur’s Bar inside (the Beef & Guinness Pie was fantastic!) & a free pint at the Gravity Bar with spectacular views. Easy to spend a couple of hours enjoying the great atmosphere at the home of Guinness!

It is enlightening and reasonable to walk through on the lower levels. On the mid levels, you may find yourself walking around from escalator to escalator to get to the bar at the top. The last 2 levels are reached by stairs and the volume of people required is to want down from the seventh floor. That being said, the Guinness was great and the view of the 7th floor bar wa fantastic.
We thought this was a neat experience and it was all well done. It was extremely crowded, which took away from the experience for me personally. The section on marketing was really interesting. We were probably here for 2 hours. I personally would have enjoyed my visit to Dublin just as much if I hadn’t done this, but it seems like a ‘when in Rome’ kind of experience. If you’re a fan of Guinness, it would be a must do.

This was one of the better tours of its kind that I've done. It was a nice experience that you almost need to do in Dublin. The views from the Gravity Bar are beautiful but it is incredibly crowded and you need to wait for others to leave to find a seat.
Booking late afternoon jeopardises the opportunity to enjoy some food on level 5. There is SO much to see, and we didn't have enough time. I should have skimmed through, just so I could enjoy the upper levels. In the end, we were very rushed, just to try to beat the closing of the kitchen, which we missed.
No complaints whatsoever--tour moved along quickly--building is awesome--just a professional undertaking and would strongly reccomend to anyone-even if you don't drink beer
