Rejseplan

The guide did not show up for the experience. We messaged and called and did not hear back until 30 minutes after the tour was supposed to start. It was an unfortunate way to start our experience in Venice.
I’m sorry Lauren, as I wrote you, I didn’t feel well and I’ve accidentally fell asleep. I woke up, and I went straight to the pharmacy downstairs because I felt my blood pressure was too low, and I was afraid to lose consciousness. I haven’t received any call from you, just one message. I’ve immediately processed a full refund, and I explained you the situation, as soon as I was feeling better. It’s quite unfair to write a bad review like this, considering the circumstances. I was not feeling well and I fell asleep without realizing it, that’s honestly what happened.
Federica was an amazing guide! She took us to three very interesting and different bars and told us so much about the history of Venice. Can not recommend it enough!
Federica was a great guide - knowledgeable and we saw some really interesting places. The wine and cicchetti was wonderful. A perfect intro to Venice!
Grazie mille!!🙏🏻
What a fabulous tour, everything was really interesting and wonderful to hear about, and experience, the food and wine. Frederica was the perfect host - can't wait to do again (2 da. Venice is the most magical place, hence spending our Honeymoon, the Millenium and our 30th Wedding Anniversary there.
What an amazing tour! We generally do a food/walking tour on our first day in major cities/regions and this one was of our best experiences ever! Federica not only gave us a fantastic introduction to the food and drink culture of Venice, but she also covered other important topics such as history, architecture, culture, transportation, geography, economics and beyond so it was a total package. She was such a lovely person, easy to talk to and receptive to all our questions.....we learned so much and by the end of the tour we had all kinds of local recommendations and advice for the rest of our time in Venice. An absolute must-do tour when in Venice...Grazie Fede!!!!❤️
Grazie mille Kathy, I hope to see you again!
It's nice to have a young female guide who lives in the city and even knows people on the street. Federica was very informative about the food and sights. She is very sweet and kind and patient, and sayed with us beyond our 2-1/2 hours. We were the only attendees on a very cold January morning, so it ended up being a private tour. We walked all around the city and visited 3 bacari. They were all quaint and enjoyable (except the first one was doing construction work at 11am and gave me a headache. My suggestion would be to go to a different location and have a back-up plan ready.) We had 2 cicchetti and 1 drink at each bacari (you can order whatever you like and don't have to try things you don't want.) After the 1st bacari, we rode the gondola traghetto across the canal for €2 to the fish market. It's a public gondola with a few benches to sit on with a Venetian man steering the gondola. It was disappointing that the fish market was closing as we arrived. We still got to see a few things, but I suggest the guide notify the attendees beforehand if this should happen again. It's nice to know what to expect from your tour and what you are paying for. There were a few disappointments and this is why I don't think the tour is worth the cost. I carefully read through every food tour in Venice on Viator and I chose this tour which was an extra €30 per person for 4 things: 1)wine is included, 2)a ride on the gondola, 3)360-degree views of the Grand Canal from a panoramic terrace, and 4)a hidden courtyard. But I came to realize that if you book a tour where wine is not included, you will only be paying €4-6 per glass and that way you don't have to order wine at every bacari. The ride on the gondola was fantastic even though it was only a few minutes long. A gondola ride can be very expensive, and we would not have found this if it weren't for Federica. Sadly, we were not taken to the 360-degree view or the hidden courtyard. I would have liked to have a glass of Doc prosecco inside a hidden courtyard. When I realized it the next morning, I messaged the guide and asked for directions so we could go there. The 360-degree view was in a department store that is no longer open, and we were not shown the hidden courtyard because it was too cold. I suggest that these items be removed from the tour description or at least have a special winter description. When I looked online today, they were still there. Over all, I loved the tour, and would only recomend it if the price was lower.
Dear Patricia, Thank you for your feedback. I'd like to remind you that you had a private guided tour, practically for free, that I could have cancelled because the group was too small. The tour price does not include only wine and food. Being a tour guide is a job, not a hobby, and I think you haven't fully appreciated the value of having a licensed tour guide only for you at that price. There is only one tour cheaper than mine: it costs 44€. The guides are not licensed, wine is not included, and they operate in groups of up to 15 people (mine are a maximum of 8), which means that you do not sit but ypu stand outside in the cold. Talking about your concerns, at the first bacaro, they stopped working just for YOU. No one else was complaining about the noise, and they were so kind as to wait until we were done before restarting their work. The fish market usually closes at 12, depending on the day and the cold. Some of them were closing because it was particularly cold, and some were on holiday. This is outside my control, I'm sorry. Regarding the rooftop terrace, I've just checked, and it appears to be cancelled in my description, that's what I did a few months ago. So, I've never realized it was still displayed. I've contacted the Viator support, and they said that the modification is not automactically updated, but they also need to do that from their part. I had no idea about this, I thought was enough to modify the text from my account only. This will take up to 72hours. Talking about the hidden courtyard, Venice is full of hidden courtyards, and since your friend was very cold, I thought it was not a good idea to sit outside, but you could have asked me, as you wrote me the day after the tour asking for a hidden courtyard, you could have done in person during the tour.
Our host can be described as knowledgeable and very personable. She was amazing and showed our group a great time around Venice, Highly recommended!!!!
Our tour with Federica was wonderful! She introduced us to new foods and shared the culture and history with us. She answered our questions about life in Venice, and she made us feel very comfortable! We had a blast, and I recommend this tour for a unique, relaxed experience.
As a solo traveler I signed up for this tour to immerse myself in the local culture, the guide did not disappoint. She was knowledgeable, personable, and engaging. The information she was able to provide not only about the food and drink but about the city and its history as well was quite interesting. She went out of her way to make sure everyone in the group was included and answered everyone’s questions.
Great experience. Federica was very personable, providing a relaxed and enjoyable tour. Had a wealth of knowledge regarding Venice too. Foods and drinks were all interesting & delicious, would recommend when first arriving in Venice.
