So much fun! Very informative and we got to each cheese! Even some stinky cheese. The English tour was really solid!
Brilliant visit, my husband and I enjoyed this visit. Lovely team of people. Recommend visiting especially if also visiting notre dame cathedral as it is close by. Thank you
Fascinating experience. I learned a lot about cheese making and the regions in France. The tasting was delicious & adding the glass of wine makes it even better!!
Great way to spend 1.5 hours in Paris! Tour guide was really informative, very funny and knowledgable. Great tasting, cute museum, very welcoming atmosphere, would definitely recommend!
Interesting tour explaining the process of cheese making and the different kinds of cheese from different regions of France. Our guide was one of the cheese makers and really knew the information well. Different but cool.
Really interesting experience to learn everything about cheese (history, origins, varieties, production process, etc)… and the instructor is very funny and knowledgeable (Agathe)
I knew a lot about cheese before attending, but I learned even more at the museum. It is a very small museum but the tour guides give a lot of good information— you can also read most of the information in the folders they pass out at the beginning of the tour. We did the tasting with wine and recommend the white wine.
Having spent a few days as a tourist in Paris, visiting the Cheese Museum was a surprising highlight! Away from the touristy hotspots, this beautiful little museum down an unassuming side street on Ile Saint-Louis was a great way to spend an afternoon. Guillaume, the extremely passionate guide stepped the group through the history and fundamentals of cheese making: young vs mature, hard vs soft as well as the overarching methods of maturation and how these alter the characteristics of taste and texture. We got to try cheeses they make and sell on site, as well as other interesting cheeses to compare to (including one that had a faint aftertaste of pineapple!) If you like food and if you like cheese, this is a no-brainer visit! I wish this independent venture all the future success.
Amazing one hour tour to learn and taste different fromages . Our guide Guillaume was the epitome of a French cheesemonger, knowledgeable, welcoming and with a good sense of humor. He LOVES his cheeses . We loved our tour and learned quite a bit about regions and different cheeses. Good and reasonable price and for and extra €5 you can add a glass of wine to enjoy your cheese tasting. We will recommend this place to our friends and family when they are in Paris .
Wonderful experience! Learn all about the making of French cheese by an awesome cheese maker. The museum is fantastic. Tasting included. Not expensive. Small and intimate setting. Leaves you wanting to know and eat more cheese! A must do activity
