This tour was spectacular. They were very punctual to the meeting place in the morning. The crossing was fun despite a delay due to vehicular congestion due to a truck accident on the road. The place of breakfast and the menu was exquisite and the treatment of the staff was first class. The Peñón de Guatapé is impressive and the panoramic views are unmatched. Our guide Felipe Echeverri is very professional and with a good knowledge of the history of the place. He was very attentive and friendly. His presentation was excellent. This tour is highly recommended and the cost is affordable for everyone.
This tour was soooo much fun! Alexander Saldarriaga was such a lively, fun, and welcoming tour guide. He spoke clearly, answered any and all questions, was attentive to the group, and made sure everything ran smoothly. We got to go to a farm and feed/pet animals, the Piedra de Peñol had beautiful views, even without climbing the rock the views were amazing. The actual town of Guatape was straight out of a coloring book with beautiful, colorful buildings and a deep history. There were so many shops we didn’t even know where to start. Rent a motochiva for $25 (per motochiva, 2-3 people can fit on one) and they’ll take you around Guatape and let you stop to get off and take pictures. Breakfast and lunch were both delicious and there are 2 stops with free bathrooms and bathrooms on the boat. I truly believe this is the best value for a tour of Guatape in Medellín and it was worth every peso! Can’t recommend this tour enough! Our tour guide Gina was excellent. She was knowledgeable, caring and fun. I loved how well she communicated with everyone and how helpful she is. Additionally our driver Andres was amazing. Despite not speaking English we were able to communicate with him with basic Spanish and he was very vigilant and a great driver. Amazing tour, you should definitely book with them. Worth the money!

This was our 1st time in Medellín, and this tour was so worth it from beginning to end. From our tour guide ( Felipe ) which was entertaining and funny, to the food being delicious, and the many beautiful views of Guatepe. Highly recommend this tour.

Trip amazing , we thoroughly enjoyed. Monica our tour guide was patient and informative. The stops were amazing and didnt even feel like it took a long time because of the many stops and information you get ! Overall id recommendation a 10/10. This tour is as described - a long day on a bus to see Piedra de Peñol, the water reservoir, Guatapé, and a petting zoo. Alex, the guide, was enthusiastic and informative. The bus was comfy and had adequate a/c, though the seats reclined extensively so someone’s seat could be in your face. The tour and reviews mention the bus being very cold so we brought long sleeves and pants but never needed them. The bus was appropriately air conditioned but not to the extent that we were warned about. You can leave stuff on the bus so if you prefer to bring extra stuff, go ahead. Our main complaint with the tour is the timing and meals. Guatapé is a cute town with lots to offer and Alex pointed out all the coffee, cinnamon rolls, and other treats to try out but given it was right before lunch, it didn’t seem like a good idea to eat in town before eating a pre-paid meal. The food served for lunch was good but we would have preferred more time to explore Guatapé and the ability to find our own lunch in town. Also, Piedra del Peñol is a horrible tourist trap surrounded by Las Vegas style Eiffel Tower and other obnoxious attractions which takes away from the beauty of the rock and surrounding nature. The boat ride is short and you have to sit in a life vest which seems excessive and unnecessary. We sat out the petting zoo given it was an extra cost to feed the animals and more for children. If you are someone who likes every detail of the day planned for you including meals, this tour is for you. If you prefer to go at your own pace, choose your own meals, and avoid tourist traps, do not sign up for this tour. We wish we had done something different with our day, though it is not because the tour was bad, just not our style or pace.
