Deltag i gruppen for at udforske de mest fantastiske attraktioner i Armenien! Først og fremmest besøg Garni, det eneste hedenske tempel, der findes i Armenien. Se "Lavash" (armensk brød) bagning er en af de smukkeste og mest almindelige armenske nationaltraditioner, før man går videre til Geghard kloster, et kompleks, der er hugget i en hul.

Garni-templet, der tårner over en trekantet kappe, er det unikke overlevende eksempel på hedensk kultur i Armenien. Det er en blanding af græsk-romerske og armenske stilarter. Kong Trdat den Første beordrede opførelsen af templet i det første århundrede e.Kr. og dedikerede det til solguden. Efter at have vedtaget kristendommen i 301, mistede det hedenske tempel sin betydning, og fæstningen Garni blev kongernes sommerbolig. I dag kan ruinerne af det kongelige palads og badeværelset med et fantastisk mosaikværk findes i nærheden af templet. Gæsten vil have mulighed for at deltage i Lavash bagning procedure i nærheden.
I Garni Canyon kan man udforske fantastiske geologiske monumenter, repræsenteret af kolonnære basalte, som er resultatet af lava-strømme. Basaltmasser er opdelt i polyhedrale søjler, som på grund af deres formregelmæssighed har fået navnet "Basaltic Organ".
Geghard kloster er det uovertruffen mesterværk af det 13. århundrede armenske arkitektur. Nogle af kompleksets kirker er mesterligt gravet i en enorm sten. Fra begyndelsen blev komplekset kaldt Ayrivank (hulkloster), senere blev det omdøbt til Geghard (lance), da lancen, der blev brugt af den romerske soldat til at stikke Jesu Kristi side, havde været holdt i dette kloster i mange århundreder. På grund af sin konstruktion er Geghardavank det bedste sted at synge åndelige sange. Komplekset er rigt på subtile skulpturelle udsmykninger og mange slående khachkars (korssten). Stedet er optaget på UNESCOs Verdensarvsliste.

Just finished the Garni/Geghard/Symphony of Stones/Lavash baking tour with Hyur tours. It was excellent, and packed a lot of great locations into just half a day. The Geghard monastery was my favorite, followed by the Lavash baking. Our driver (David) and your guide (Sam) were both great, and made the experience inviting, well organized, and safe. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Yerevan with a half day to spare.
This is my second tour with this company. Everything is convenient, by timing, feeding, singing, talking about everything, everyone shows. Driver David is very pleasant and reliable. Guide Samwel is just a sweetheart, both tours with him, all super:)

Went on the tour with the guide Sam and our driver was David. Sam was very knowledgeable and explained the history and the significances of the location we visited in a clear manner. David got us to each location in a very timely manner, without any issues on the road.

Hayk was an excellent guide who shared so many interesting facts and stories, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. It was also a real highlight to hear him play the duduk. All tours with Hyur are good and well organized. This is a short tour. Garni temple is unique in Armenia and the Symphony of Stones was very nice too. If you have little time in Yerevan, this tour should be on your priority list as you get to see a bit of everything: Lavash making (which is quite an experience) - with tasting, Garni unique temple, the rock formation at the Symphony of Stones, a monastery and the Arch of Charents from where the view is fantastic on a clear day. Our guide on this day was Marina who is very good.
