Gruppeguidet natvandring i Monteverde

Really enjoyed the night walk. Our guide was educational and enthusiastic. He did his best to find as many creatures as possible and to give us the best experience. Highlights were woodpeckers, some amazingly well hidden sleeping birds, baby snakes, tarantula and scorpions that glow under ultra violet. They even spotted a stick insect that looked like moss!

We had a great time on our night walk at El Refugio. Our guide was Juan Carlos and he was fantastic! He is extremely knowledgeable about the animals. We saw so much on our walk - a kinkajou, rhino katydids, walking stick insects, pit viper, hummingbirds, keel-billed toucan, Lesson's motmot, orange-bellied trogon, and a ran frog. Great way to spend the evening.

My experience with this tour was FANTASTIC. Jesus was an interesting, close, fast guide with a lot of knowledge and passion for what he does. I would repeat a thousand times with him, it is a pleasure to see him and hear him search for wildlife in the cloud forest. I highly recommend wearing boots, long pants inside high socks, long sleeves and headlight (although they give you a small one).

We have visited Monteverde on a night tour and had an excellent guide, Elier. The visit we really liked and asked for a second tour to Elier in Curi Cancha, we recommend the experience and the guide, both tours were entertaining and informative. Fully recommended!

The tour was a great introduction to the wildlife of Monteverde. It’s amazing how much louder and vibrant the forest becomes at night. Jesus did an incredible job of spotting all the critters and addressing everyone’s questions.

We were guided by Jesus and it was very nice to take the tour with him as he explained everything in detail. We learned a lot. We'll be back as soon as possible. We saw sloths, calves, frogs, hummingbirds, beetles, spiders, many amazing species. Thanks for everything! Atte. Ale and Yaka

I learned some new things about the inhabitants of the forests. Our guide was very knowledgeable and amicable. Though we didn’t see a tremendous number of animals, it was well worth the time experiencing the forest at night.

We did the night tour last night with Jose and it was truly a magical experience! We saw vipers, a sloth eating leaves, sleeping birds, frogs, katydids, stick bugs, and bioluminescent scorpion. Jose was so kind and obviously adores nature and is so knowledgeable. Would 100% recommend!

Steven was fantastic. I have been on many night walks in Costa Rica. This may have been the best. You never know what you will see, but you need skill like our guide to be lucky enough to see and get great photos of the snakes, sloths, frogs and other wildlife we saw. Our guide Jesus was amazing, so knowledgeable and incredible at spotting wildlife. We saw all sorts including a sloth with her baby, a pit viper, bioluminescence, various spiders, a sleeping Jay bird and a kinkaju. Highly recommended!
