Gruppe Surf lektion i Honolulu

We had a wonderful surf lesson experience with Shane and crew! We surfed in front of the HHV, just to the right of the boat channel. The surf break there allowed for long rides. This area is maybe not as picturesque as the other end of Waikiki Beach but is a lot less crowded and therefore much safer. We had three instructors for about seven students. The instructors were all skilled, experienced, enthusiastic and professional...the best I've ever surfed with. They worked hard to give us as many rides as possible, adapting their approach appropriately for the age and experience of the student. I would definitely take another lesson with Shane and crew!

My two young adult grandsons had the experience of a lifetime riding the waves with Shane and Luke. They got all the attention and care that my three much younger grandchildren had the year before.

I suggest that you tell the instructor if you have any nervousness or fears before you wade into the wild waves of Waikiki. if I had done that on behalf of my grandson, he probably would have been given more attention and might have ended up having a better experience. Be sure you understand what is going to happen next and don't be afraid to ask questions and have more practice time on shore. One of the two participants for whom I paid, was given loads of attention and she had a fabulous time. My grand daughter is thrilled and I am delighted for her. The other party was not as fortunate. Even though he is a very good swimmer, he became caught up in the waves, fell off the board, started to tumble about and became very frightened. He was not near his sister or the instructor and he became panicked. Eventually help came and he made it back to shore. For him the experience was traumatic and horrible. The instructor showed compassion for him, and I am grateful for the partial refund that was extended.

Darren, Shane, and captain Neal were very kind, and very helpful. My wife and I had a great time surfing Kaiser bowl with them, and although it was my wife’s first time, she and I were able to surf almost every single wave we wanted to, with their help of course. Highly recommend!

My son and I never surfed and Neil along with Kama quickly had us up and surfing in minutes. We did not have shoes and shirts, but they had all of that to borrow. Thanks for the great memories!

We could not have asked for a better experience! They got amazing shots of both our girls catching the same wave which is just a priceless memory! Shane, Neil, and Darren were more than patient and excellent instructors! Highly recommend! We knew from the prayer they led at the beginning that this was going to be an awesome time and it did not disappoint!

Went on a whim and had a great time, especially since the instructors Shane and Neil were fun to be around! They took some pics/vids of my first time surfing also 😁 They have a rash guard and shoes for you to borrow if needed, but I’d also recommend water shorts to protect your thighs if you don’t want a rash there too. Overall great time, would do again to learn some more basics next time I’m in town!

It was our first time ever surfing and somehow these guys made us look like we actually knew what we were doing (spoiler: we didn’t). Shane, Captain Neil, and Darren — you’re not just instructors, you’re straight-up surfing wizards. They had us standing up on the boards, laughing like kids, and feeling like absolute pros — even if we’ll probably be walking like cowboys tomorrow from all the paddling. Not only are they hilarious and chill, they’re incredibly skilled and made us feel safe, confident, and like part of the ‘ohana (that’s Hawaiian for family — yes, we’re locals now). We loved every salty, splashy, sun-kissed minute and can’t wait to come back and ride the waves again with our Hawaiian bros. Mahalo for the memories!

Good! It felt like a couple of local guys running the show and not a huge company which was nice. We went over the basics quick and got out in the water right away.

My family and I had a great time. The staff was so helpful and we all managed to ride some waves and make some great memories! I would highly recommend this excursion. I would not recommend buying pictures. They were very pricey at $40 per person and you only get a couple of pictures.
