Griffin Museum for videnskab og industri

Beskrivelse

A lot of the activities in the museum were out of order and a few things required a separate ticket, but overall a good way to spend a few hours.
No prebooking needed. Just Ubered from our hotel. My husband is a veteran so we were pleasantly surprised to get free admission! We spent 6 hours exploring and enjoying the wide range of exhibits.
The Griffin Museum of Science and Industry was amazing! We spent about 4 hours there and saw just a fraction of the exhibits. We loved the U-Boat exhibit and the coal mine exhibit but perhaps my favorite was the exhibit of the costumes of Paul Tazewell (who designed costumes for the Hamilton stage show, Wicked movie etc). It was truly awe inspiring! We highly recommend the museum!
Museum for space, junkies, and technology people
It was full of discovery, and interesting things. I gave it a lower rating because of several of the hands on exhibits were inoperable.
We loved the museum. Expansive, beautiful, fun, and all the things we hoped for. There were unfortunately quite a few of the hands on exhibits that were not working that day, so that was disappointing. Regardless, the marquee exhibits were wonderful!
Museum tells the history of the city, if not the country! A bath of culture and knowledge in science and the development of industry. It was a pity that there was no more entrance and we could not visit the famous submarine.
This museum was very vast and interesting! Beautiful museum. Was a little different than the average museum. We did “special” tours at an additional cost but they were both worth it. The coal mine tour which used real equipment Therefore depicting a true story of the time. The other “special “ tour we took was of the German U505 submarine which was captured by the Americans. It is one of five in the world. How these men lived in this tube for a period of months is beyond me. They truly were the greatest generation.
Terrible customer service. Booked the wrong date and they would not respond to help me move to another date due to travel complications. Do not book online.
The museum was a great experience, as always, including the very enjoyable Spider-Man and costumes special exhibits. However, the highlight was the well-done, touching, and sad Anne Frank exhibit. While it includes a very realistic recreation of their hideaway, the highlight is all of the displays on the rise of the Nazis and the atrocities they committed. Very powerful overall and something that everyone in the country should see,
