A magnificent complex, steeped in history, however, a lot of walking through meandering pathways, hardly any place or time with the guided tour to sit down for a few minutes. It was an exceptionally hot day in Granada. A very rushed process in my view. Started late at 10:30 from Malaga. Granada town for 1st 3 hours free time, after that, the Alhambra fortress for 2 hours, about 50 minutes for those with Palaces tour. The rest, like myself, left to wait in the outside areas. Ticket cost was high for only the short tour of the fortress and General life gardens. Missed out on the Nasrid Palaces as there were no slots left for that day. That was a sadly missed opportunity as they are worth seeing, and an all in 1 day tour would have been more beneficial. The cost, hike and going again just for the Palaces is not an easy task.

We are a bit confused regarding your review, as our tours include access to the Nasrid Palaces and we do not operate a 1-day tour format like the itinerary you described. We understand that visiting from another city and experiencing an exceptionally hot day in Granada can make for a very tiring and overwhelming day. However, travel arrangements and travel fatigue from outside the city are unfortunately outside of our control. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us.
The one-star rating is not real. We arrived at Alhambra only to find that it was closed today. There was heavy rain, strong winds, and a level 5 earthquake in Granada early this morning. We are disappointed, but appreciate the communication from the tour company and the offer to refund our tour costs.

As you rightly mentioned, the closure of the Alhambra was due to exceptional circumstances beyond our control, with the severe weather conditions and earthquake in Granada leading to the temporary closure of the site. We completely understand how disappointing this must have been, particularly after travelling for the visit. We were pleased that the Alhambra reopened later that day and, once we were informed that access was possible again, we offered you the opportunity to visit independently in the afternoon using the tickets provided. We always do our best to communicate promptly when circumstances outside of our control affect an excursion, and we appreciate your understanding in this unusual situation. We’re glad that you found our communication helpful, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again under much better circumstances.

Though we had a difficult time getting to the front ticket office after walking up a series of very steep hills, once there, Ana was a fantastic host and guide. She was informative, professional, and was very easy to understand. I recommend this guide, as well as taking a taxi or bus!
