En fantastisk dagstur fra Glasgow, der tager os til steder fra film som Skyfall, Highlander og Harry Potter. Vi rejser til Glencoe og 'Road to the Isles', fra Fort William til Glenfinnan. Se Jacobite Steam Train, når det krydser Glenfinnan Viaduct (apr-okt), et skotsk ikon, der er berømt for sin klassiske victorianske teknik. Rejseplan
Luss er på Bonnie banker af Loch Lomond. Ikke kun vil vi stoppe her for morgenforfriskninger, men for at nyde nogle vidunderlige udsigter over Loch Lomond. Ben Lomond, Skotlands sydligste Munro, (bjerg over 3000 fod høj) kan også ses herfra.
Glencoe var rammen om en af de mest berygtede perioder i skotsk historie, Glencoe-massakren som fandt sted i 1692. Den smukke natur er et besøg værd at se. Vi stopper ved Glencoe Visitor Center for at give tid til at lære mere om dalens historie. Centret er også hjemsted for græstørvhuset, hvor du vil være i stand til at se, hvordan livet må have været for det 500-600 stærke samfund, der boede her i Glencoe fra det 17. århundrede. Vi rejser gennem dalen to gange (morgen og aften) og stopper for at tage billeder og tage i landskabet, mens vi er der.
I skyggen af Ben Nevis ligger feriebyen Fort William. Vi rejser gennem byen om morgenen for at deltage i den romantiske 'Road to the Isles'
Vi har masser af tid til at besøge Glenfinnan som udsigten her er simpelthen spektakulære. Du vil se de 21 buer af den majestætiske Glenfinnan Viaduct kurve gennem glen i en scene udødeliggjort som ruten til Harry Potter's Hogwarts (fra april til oktober har vi til formål at nå viadukten i tide for at se Jacobite Steam Train krydser over). Glenfinnan Monument ligger i hovedet af Loch Shiel og blev opført i 1815, til ære for Jacobites, der kæmpede og døde i sagen om Bonnie Prince Charlie. Der vil også være tid til at betale entré for at besøge monumentet, hvis du ønsker det. (Bemærk venligst: Jacobit damptoget vil ikke køre mellem 1. og 5. september 2025.)
Efter rejsen tilbage gennem Glencoe & Rannoch moor, vores sidste stop af aftenen vil være inden for Loch Lomond og Trossachs National Park, hvor du kan nyde en tidlig aften forfriskning før vores tilbagevenden til Glasgow.

It was a wonderful experience. We saw some very beautiful landscape that we could not have accessed without a car. The trip was well organised and our guide Kieran was very kind and funny. He even made several stop on the way to help us get good views and pictures of Glencoe and Highland cows.

Although we could not go to Glenfinnan because there was a serious accident 9 miles from the location, Alan, our guide, made the day wonderful anyway. He told us many things and took us to wonderful places. I spent a day that I will never forget. The places visited are wonderful, but Alan's company made them memorable. Thanks Alan!
