Great way to see the old city, learn about some of the history and architecture all while sampling authentic Genoa cuisine. Be a local for a few hours! Daniele spoke wonderful English and was so personable and friendly. Highly recommend!
Excellent tour by Daniele, and very accommodating to facilitate our location of the small group, which had to leave before our slightly late arrival at the meeting point (shuttle bus was delayed returning to port for us). Great food and information about the buildings and alleys as we made our way from one location to the next.
A great little group with such a funny, knowing and authentic accompaniment, Marina 🫶 Very entertaining, way too fast over. Very happy to come back.
We learned much about Italian history because it is reflected in the food. We “knew” about USA foods labeled “Italian” but they are nothing like the REAL thing! Pesto, ravioli, gelato, sweets, pastries, etc all have specific ingredients - all stuffed pasta are NOT ravioli just as all oil with chopped ingredients is not “pesto.” Foods in Italy also vary by region. So, having something described and explained while you taste it is a history lesson you won’t forget.
