Deltag i Imagine Israel Tours for en guidet rejse gennem Gazastriben (Otef Aza), Israels mest følelsesmæssigt magtfulde og historisk betydningsfulde region efter angrebene den 7. oktober 2023. Vi vil stoppe ved Kibbutz Yad Mordechai på den nordlige grænse med Gaza og lære om områdets historie, geografi og strategiske betydning.
Vi vil stoppe udenfor Moshav Nativ Ha’asara, det nærmeste civile samfund til Gaza og høre om terroristernes angreb på paraglider, som bragte krigen til denne fredelige landsby.
Vi besøger Nahal Oz look out bygget til minde om de 16 unge observatører myrdet den 7. oktober og lære om de 7 unge kvinder kidnappet og hvad der skete med dem.
Vi stopper uden for Kibbutz Be'eri, en af de samfund, der blev hårdest ramt under Hamas' dødbringende angreb, med 102 mennesker myrdet og 32 kidnappet til Gaza - 10 af dem stadig der. Fællesskabets tab var blandt de værste den dag. Du vil høre flere historier om de rædsler, som familierne led. Vi hører også om en helt, der gav sit liv for at redde sit samfund og lære om, hvad fremtiden holder for denne kibbutz. Vi går også ind i bombeflyet ved busstoppestedet, hvor Yuval Rafael, Israels deltagere i Eurovision 2015, blev begravet under døde kroppe i 8 timer.
Vej 232 bombeskyttelse: Giv din respekt på dette symbolske sted, hvorfra en række unge mennesker blev kidnappet, herunder Hersh Goldberg. Vej 232 er for nylig blevet helt genopbygget efter ødelæggende skader fra raketter, brande og RPG'er. Vi lærer også historien om Aner Shapira, der giver sit liv for at redde andre fanget i bombeholderen.
Vi går ind i kibbutz til frokost i den fælles spisestue. Vi besøger stedet, hvor Bipin Joshi den heroiske nepalesiske arbejder blev taget som gidsler og hans venner fra Nepal og Thailand blev dræbt. Vi lærer, hvad der skete på Kibbutz Alumim den dag.

Et dybt rørende stop på stedet for Nova Music Festival nær Kibbutz Re’im, hvor 364 unge blev dræbt og 43 kidnappet. Siden fungerer nu som et spontant mindesmærke, hvor venner og familie har skabt personlige minder og hyldest til deres kære.
'Car Cemetery' nær Moshav Tkuma: den forfølgende samling af 1.560 brændte og ødelagte køretøjer genoprettet fra angrebene - nu tjener som et midlertidigt mindesmærke. Historierne om mange af bilens ejere er tilgængelige for læsning ved hjælp af QR-koder opført i nærheden. Disse forbrændte køretøjer er ikke bare skrald - de bærer historierne & hjertebrud af de mennesker, der engang kørte dem.
Besøg stedet for den ødelagte Sderot politistation, hvor en hård kamp fandt sted den 7. oktober. Lær historien om Amer Odeh Abu Sabila, en heroisk beduiner byggearbejder, der reddede to unge piger efter deres forældre blev myrdet. Amer blev skudt mens han redde dem, men hans mod sikrede pigernes overlevelse.

What a wonderful albeit emotional day we had touring the Gaza envelope Simon is sooooo knowledgeable, a truly convivial, relaxed and warm gentleman to boot. At every turn on our many stops he had such fascinating stories that only enhanced our experience. Not to mention he picked us up in a super comfy roomy car and is an excellent driver, and was so lovely, courteous and completely watching for our pace as we made our stops along an emotionally impactful journey through the Gaza envelope many kibbutz and many profound memorials. Simon was a most informative tour guide. He had lots to share regarding the history of the event as well as biblical and modern history of Israel. This is an emotional tour and he set the proper tone at all venues. Would truly recommend Simon for this and probably any of his other tours.
