We did two tours with Legends over the weekend and this was the second, so it probably lost a point based on it being a lot less exciting and engaging than the Dark Side tour on the previous evening. Secondary to this I have to say the failing was my own in expecting good food and drink on a “free” tasting tour. We met the tour guide in a very busy main place based on this being the Beer Festival weekend, so maybe changing this would have helped. They didn’t provide a lot of information, and just walked on alone with an umbrella in the air (previous evening the tour host had engaged with us whilst walking from place to place). The fries were ok, but the owner was just grumpy with us trying to buy a drink, which obviously just seems very odd! The waffles were fine, but it was obvious we went to one that never had a queue so was not popular with locals. Again the information was basic on the history or making of the product. The city is awash with tourist trap chocolate shops, and the grainy praline we were given was not good quality. The final stop in a cafe to try a beer that the tour host knew very little about was the most bizarre when you consider the number of amazing breweries we walked past to get here. Like I said, pay for a food tour and get what you pay for. This tour is not good if you are actually interested in trying the best Belgium has to offer.
Nice ride to do with teenagers and young adults. Very popular samples, dedicated and pleasant guide, I recommend!
