If you're considering a private tour in Madeira, I highly recommend Diogo! We spent two full days with him exploring both the west and east sides of the island, and after such a fantastic experience, we also booked him for our airport transfer at the end of our stay. From the start, Diogo's communication was excellent. He worked with us to create a customized itinerary based on what we wanted to experience. Our driver/guide Ricardo took us around Funchal and showed us everything he recommended and also what we wanted to see: Botanical gardens, fishing village Camara de Lobos, sea cliff Cabo Girao, drove to Monte village where we took a thrilling toboggan ride ( local most popular tourist attraction), visiting the statue of Christ overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Ricardo made the day so much fun knowing all the ins and outs. We want to return and explore more.

An excellent way to get a sense of Madeira beyond Funchal. Pre-tour communication was excellent and the cruise ship pick up super convenient. Diogo proved highly personable, informative and accommodating. We’ll definitely employ his services again when we next visit.

This is a great tour. Diogo was amazing, patient and very knowledgeable. Thoroughly recommend this tour- you won’t be disappointed. The weather wasn’t on our side but we still had a great time and got to see a lot of Maderia.
