Besøg to af det nordlige Perus vigtigste antikke templer på denne tur fra Trujillo til Solens tempel (Huaca del Sol - bare oversigt) og Månens tempel (Huaca de la Luna), der sammen udgør Huacas de Moche, alias Templer af Moche. Med en kyndig guide kan du besøge stedet og stirre undrende på størrelsen på de store templer og lære om deres betydning for det gamle Moche-folk. Du kan også se Moche-artefakter på stedet på museet.
Vi besøger det arkæologiske sted Chan Chan, der er erklæret den største antikke by i Sydamerika. Som det tidligere centrum for Chimu politik og handel, byder den 18 kvadratkilometer store plads på helligdomme, kirkegårde, ceremonielle pladser og reservoirer. Gå på opdagelse i alle de væsentlige funktioner med din guide, opdag arkitektonisk præcision og dyk dybere ned i dens gamle historie. Efter det arkæologiske besøg besøger vi museet, hvor du kunne finde alle de genstande, der blev fundet på Chan Chan.
Og sidst men ikke mindst kigger vi på et af de mest farverige træk på Trujillo, Huanchaco Beach velkendt for sin surfer livsstil og "caballitos de totora" den gamle båd af fiskerne, der bruges indtil i dag.

Vi henter gratis fra ethvert hotel eller hostal omkring det historiske centrum. Hvis ikke er i det historiske centrum, kan der opkræves ekstra gebyrer. Hvis du beslutter at komme til kontoret, skal du være på mødestedet 10 minutter før turen starter.

Great way of seeing both the moches and chan chan. No issues with the operational aspect of the tour. We went to the agreed place and the tour did indeed start there. I can highly recommend both attractions.
The all-day tour seemed interesting to us, but we started with almost an hour's delay. The meeting point was a kind of bar that surprised us, since it was not an office. The vehicle did not have air conditioning, nor seat belts, it was very old. The information seemed to suggest that we would have an hour of free time to eat in Huanchaca, but that was not the case. They took us to eat between the visit to the Huaca and the visit to Chan Chan, so the impression was that we spent more time in the car than at the visits. The restaurant they recommended and took us to was very simple, but the service was fast. Other people on the tour also commented that they thought we would eat in the beach area, where they took us and only gave us half an hour to take some photos and there was no time for more. The guides were kind and polite.
We asked for an english speaking guide and she was excellent, full of information and enthusiasm. The operators were flexible and helped us out, the remains at the two historical sites are truly amazing, and the reed boats at Huancharo are unique. All in all we enjoyed it a lot and would recommend it.
The three sites we visited are very beautiful. However, the organization of this excursion is really very shaky. I sent a message to the agency the day before to find out how the pickup would go. They confirmed a departure between 10:00 and 10:15 the next day in front of our Airbnb. No news before 11:00 on the day of. We were informed of a problem, without any further explanation. At 11:15 we had left. They didn't really apologize. Our guide was interesting, but also very fast-paced and pushy at the sites. He was wearing a t-shirt from a different agency than the one indicated on Tripadvisor. In the evening, we were dropped off in front of the agency and not in front of our Airbnb, as was indicated in the listing. In short, it was not catastrophic, but it was not incredible either.
The tour itself was very informative and exciting. But what bothered us a lot was: The tour started 20min late. The itinerary of the tour was changed without informing us, this had totally destroyed our planning of the rest of the day. But a man assured us before the start of the tour that he was organising a taxi that would bring us back. In reality, however, it looked very different. When we got back from the tour, the office was already closed. Our guide (Oskar) then tried to organize the money for the taxi and a taxi.

Our guide, Maritza, was fantastic - we loved her and her energy, love for, and knowledge of the huacas and Chan Chan. The rest of the operation was sketch. The bus was not air conditioned, it seemed like there were several tours on 1 bus, and at least 1.5 hours of the tour were spent sitting out standing around waiting. Not driving from site to site, waiting … to do something.
Despite being late (because of external problems) they were kind enough to wait for me. The guides always showed good attitude and energy, and since I went alone, they helped me take pictures haha. We had a few more incidents during the trip, but it did not spoil my experience.
Our guide Maritza was 10/10. She was knowledgeable and passionate about history- definitely do this tour when in Trujillo!
Everything was amazing, from the sea trip to watch penguins and dolphins to the part we were riding desert dunes at sunset.
