Mødested og tur Introduktion: Besøg Wilson Tours kl. 8.30. Vi vil give en kort oversigt over turen.
Afrejse til Vaikom: Klokken 8.30 om morgenen tager du en times køretur i en bil med aircondition til landsbyen Vaikom. Billeder af Backwater Village: Når du kommer til landsbyen, kan du nyde en to- og en halv times sejltur på en ikke-motoriseret båd. Nyd en lækker vegetarisk frokost serveret i landsbyen på bananblade. En Engelsk Vejleder vil uddybe på landsbyens aktiviteter, der viser fremstilling af reb fremstillet af kokosfiber, mat vævning og forskellige krydderurter. Canoeboat ride og te session: Efter frokost, oplev en en-timers kano bådtur. Slap af og nyd en te session under bådturen. Tilbage til Cochin: Efter aktiviteterne kører vi tilbage til Cochin. Turens afslutning: Turen afsluttes kl. 14.30 i Cochin.

I had a wonderful experience with this tour! I highly recommend this tour. I directly called Stanley Wilson and he was very helpful booked a tour for 3 people for 6k INR. He helped and guided me all. On the day Ubaid, you can book from him too. He picked from Wilson tour to the backwaters place via sedan. He was friendly and nice. Then comes the tour, amazing experience! Very nice boat . Coir making, a perfect time spent on backwaters. I took Guide Grishma/Greeshma. I still remember her name even after few days of the tour, it’s been a week I took the tour and I’m writing review today! Still I remember because she explained and provided all details during the experience! Her knowledge is incredible. Definitely would archive this tour from this operator and lovely experience! I’m sure one will enjoy this tour experience! Highly recommended!

Greeshma was the best guide for this tour ! She is passionate and joyful ! The lake backwaters are beautiful and peaceful, between fruit trees, giant coconut trees, different kinds of birds and artisanal fishing, just magical. I highly recommend it

A very enjoyable trip to the Kerala backwaters with a punted boat then canoe further into the adjacent forest. The guide Meera was excellent, knowledgeable and generally very friendly. There was also a visit to a local village to see traditional crafts like rope and thatch making. The included lunch was good, a traditional thali served on a banana leaf. Plenty of it. The drive to and from the place we met the boat was quick and efficient. I would thoroughly recommend this trip especially to travellers who have never been into this kind of environment before.

The trip couldn't be better. The guide, Grishma, was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the local culture. We went on a large boat, had a lesson in rope making with a lovely local grandma and we're given a sample. Then we transferred to a smaller boat and enjoyed a back channel with nature all around us. Finally, we had a great traditional lunch. Highly recommended.

We had an incredible experience at the backwaters tour. We were picked up from our homestay in Fort Cochin and taken to the boat location at Vaikom. The boat was beautifully handmade and pushed by two strong men with bamboo poles. It was so peaceful, hardly any other boats on the water. Our guide Meera was welcoming, so friendly and knowledgeable about the area, wildlife and the people who live there. She grew up in a village near by, and was genuinely passionate about the backwaters and it's way of life. We were shown how rope was traditionally made from coconut husks, and how the coconut palm fronds could be made into rooves and mats. Meera then took us through narrow canals and lush rainforest in a smaller boat, before we made our way back to the boat ramp for a delicious lunch. We were lucky enough to be there during Onam, so had a traditional south Indian feast on banana leaf. It was such a special day, exceptional value, I would give it 50 stars if I could!

It was a wonderful experience! Everyone was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The narrow canal experience was absolutely amazing and gave us a beautiful glimpse of the local way of life. It was one of the best trips of my life. The people were all so friendly and had lots of interesting things to tell. I enjoyed the nature and the silence so much. Everything was so clean and the boat wonderful. It was very interesting to listen to Ma'am of 74 years who made all these things, ropes, mats and tapioka chips by hand. Thanks to Baboo and Chendre (moon) for giving soft velocity to our boat and thanks to Meera for everything 🤗

The trip was wonderful. Mr. Shahjahan and Ms. Mira were very good hosts. The pick up car was clean. The backwater boat and the open canal punting boat were in good condition. The Ammaji explaining the village activities was also very nice.

Wonderful tour hosted by Meera. The punting was idyllic and peaceful. Beautiful surroundings. Seeing traditional weaving and rope making was brilliant. Lunch was excellent.

I loved the experience, a big thank you to Meera, our tour guide, who was attentive, clear, and efficient in her explanations. I highly recommend it if you want a quiet little morning away from the city noise. Even with the rain, this experience managed to satisfy us.
