I booked and paid in advance for a full day surf package, which included two hours of lessons in the morning, lunch, two hours in the afternoon, and a video recording. I did take the morning lesson. However, due to poor ocean conditions, their own staff advised against going back into the water in the afternoon and recommended that I leave. They clearly stated that I would be refunded for the cancelled afternoon lesson, the lunch, and the video that was never recorded. More than three weeks have passed. I have only received a partial refund for the video, and none of the remaining promised refund. Since then, they have stopped responding to messages and calls altogether. I am sharing this experience so other travelers are aware and can decide carefully before paying for full packages in advance. The experience was great!! Instructors was absolutely fabulous!! However we ordered the photo package to include video all photos and a gift…. The only thing we received was the photos via air drop… no video no “gift”…. More upset no video!!!

Fun Day Surfing with Macao Surf Camp. Nice, new foam longboards, great spot for beginner/intermediate surfers with sandy bottom and consistent waves. Instructors were awesome. Photographer took some great shots and fair price on photo package.

Spent the morning with Macao surf camp today for a private surf lesson and I can highly recommend them! The vibes were chilled and everyone was super friendly. We had a session learning on the beach first which was great before one on one time with an instructor (Kendrick) in the ocean. Kendrick was fantastic! Really patient, calm, and encouraging. He told me where to put my feet and how to adjust my balance and I was surfing almost straight away! We had photos and a video taken as well and they even created an instagram reel for us. Amazing work from the team and Kendrick, definitely check them out!

Great people and beautiful beach. Had private surf lessons with local crew. Everyone very welcoming in and out of water.

Macao Surf Camp was an amazing experience for my teen son! Sammy was his private instructor and had him up and surfing on his second try! This business was great to deal with and easily accommodated a last minute reservation change due to one of my sons being ill and allowed us to use it later in the week. I recommend the optional drone footage "add on" when you arrive as well! Overall great experience and great time! Definitely recommend!

This is such a friendly and helpful group of people, especially so if you're a first-time surfer. They are quick to get you in the (somewhat sheltered and calmer) water, which is where you really (and fairly quickly) figure things out--don't worry if you feel terrible practicing on land! In the water you are accompanied by a dedicated instructor who gets you settled on the board and watches for which waves to ride, plus someone to help grab your board and get you set up to ride again...and again, and again! The really cool part is while you are mastering the art of the balance these guys can provide AMAZING photos and videos! There is an option to have someone with a Go Pro camera take pictures from in the water, which really captures the raw action. But you can also have someone filming via DRONE! How cool is that?? The overhead shots are incredible and the drone is able to quickly move around to capture footage from every angle. But, it never feels like its in your way. I am SO glad we opted to purchase BOTH forms of photo/video (gopro and drone) because they each captured the magic of the experience in a different way. The quality of everything is stellar and you are provided with a link to download all photos/videos which you then can use however you'd like. My very favorite photo is actually a single frame from the drone video! I truly cannot wait to go back and hang out with this wonderful group next time we visit Punta Cana! You may be surprised at what you can do, but you will NOT be disappointed!

i am a 70 year old female. my instructor was patient, kind, and professional. i was actually surfing within a few minutes. i was concerned i would not be able to stand up and surf. but i did and it was really fun. we also hired the photographer to come along. he was really good and sent me some very nice photos. i would recommend this place to everyone!!

Great instruction, first time surfer and was up and going on my third try. Was riding all the way in by the end of the lesson. Ari and Rodalfo were great instructors and guides. The photographer was excellent and I have great pics of the experience. Pickup and drop off provided in the cost

Amazing Experience!! Both my kids had a blast from start to finish. We did the photos and they were nothing short of AMAZING! For anyone staying at Dreams Macao this surf school is right next door on the beach - super convenient.
