Fuerteventura: Small-Group Magic Deluxe Catamaran Cruise

This was a fabulous excursion (on a rather blustery day), so much fun. It was a small group which meant we all got chatting throughout the day and there was enough space for everyone to spread out on the catamaran. We stopped to watch dolphins, flying fish and a turtle. The staff (Pedro & Ailin) were fantastic. Food and drink was awesome, too. Highly recommended!

Great trip, very relaxing! We went on a very hot day so it was lovely to be in the sea and be able to have a swim. I would like to personally thank Diego and Franco who were wonderful, very kind and informative!

We had a beautiful catamaran tour and can wholeheartedly recommend it! We especially want to thank Eric and Franko. The two were incredibly friendly, attentive, and took excellent care of all the guests throughout the tour. A big thank you also for how caring they were towards my brother when he was not feeling well. The food was very delicious, and the atmosphere on board was simply perfect. The absolute highlight was the many dolphins we were able to see – we really saw a lot, which made the tour an unforgettable experience! Many thanks to Eric and Franko for this wonderful day. We would book the tour again at any time and can only recommend it to everyone.

Contrary to the pleasant descriptions, the trip actually conveys the opposite of what it intends to be. The pickup takes place in travel buses and can be quite slow accordingly. The return transport cost us an hour, even though we were staying at the Aldiana around the corner. On board, despite the initially nice reception by the crew, it becomes clear that there is not much to "Magix Deluxe." Although the weather could not have been better, I was driven under motor. Thus, the first promise of the organizer proves to be unfounded. Furthermore, the animal search involves nothing more than about 15 minutes of touring along the coast before heading a bit towards the open sea. But thinking otherwise, the course is already turned again, and we drive parallel to the coast, so that after 2 hours we are back at the rear of the harbor mole, the "Top Spot" for anchoring and swimming, where food from one of the "best chefs in Jandia" is served. In our case, there were packaged potatoes with mushroom sauce and beef (presumably pre-cooked), which was hardly edible overall. So it is not surprising that most guests particularly did not eat their meat. In conclusion, the beach is once again traversed by motor, and then the return to the harbor is initiated. In total, there remains somehow the desperate attempt to sell a junk product as somehow expensive and good... unfortunately, it worked for us. However, we cannot recommend the whole experience. The fact that no animals were found does not play a significant role, although I must admit that I would not expect them to be so close to the coast with a high probability. Overall, the disappointment is predominant that the idea of a nice sailing trip somehow turned into a qualitative disaster. But the staff was nice! Moreover, it seems that other tour operators are well aware that the excursions never take place under sail. At least that is the statement from fellow travelers from another hotel. How one wants to assess this as misleading is left to each individual.

No sailing, it travels along the coast by motor; the food is inedible. Instead of offering beef and potatoes with a totally overcooked and cold sauce, it would be better to switch to sandwiches.

Incredibly great experience with Alvaro and Luca. They took excellent care of us and were eager to ensure that we guests lacked nothing. We quickly saw dolphins swimming in front of our catamaran, likely one of the largest species in the Canary Islands. The deluxe tour is definitely worth it compared to the select. There are a maximum of 12 guests in the group, which makes it so relaxing. Time flew by, and we will long remember this beautiful experience. It was just a pity that so few guests gave tips. On such a tour, one should not be stingy.

The tour was really great. Pedro and Franco were super friendly and accommodating, and seemed to genuinely care about the marine life. We went on the 10am tour and it was overcast to begin with which, when combined with the wind rolling off the island, made it quite a chilly affair for the first couple hours. Of course we don't blame them for the weather, but when the info pack recommends you take a jacket, I strongly advise you do so (thanks to my partner for convincing me). It was much warmer when the sun did eventually come out for us but the Fuerteventura wind is even more real out at sea. We did see dolphins on our tour after an hour or so of searching, and the only downside I would say is that we seemed to be the only boat without the necessary permission to get within 100 meters of them. We watched from a distance whilst other boats went right up to them. That's not necessarily great for the dolphins, but it felt a little strange to be the only one of 10 or so boats held back whilst the other 9 got up close and personal with the dolphins. We've done a few small-group catamaran experiences around the world, and my partner pointed out that usually at this price point, the crew are slightly more attentive when it comes to beverages. In our previous experiences, we have had drinks brought to us on tap - even when sunbathing at the front - and our glasses rarely run dry. It was a little more DIY on this experience, but drinks were provided, so that's not a major thing to mark them down on. Regardless, we would highly recommend to everyone.

Pedro and Franco skillfully navigated us along the coast of Fuerteventura for four hours. We saw dolphins and other marine life. Always at a respectful distance. The food was very good. The schnapps for dessert was very tasty, and the drinks (beer, wine, soft drinks) were well chilled.
