Denne tur er en af de særlige ture i Jordan, startende med den smukke by Amman, det romerske amfiteater, hvor det er midt i hovedstaden Amman, slottet Amman, samt en lille tur på de gamle markeder i Amman . Derefter går vi østpå til det smukkeste, som umayyaderne byggede, al Kharana-paladset, Amra-paladset og til sidst det sorte slot (Al-azraq-slottet)

Et besøg på det romerske teater er som at tage en tur omkring 2000 år ind i historien, hvor amfiteatret engang husede over 5000 tilskuere og stadig bruges til teaterarrangementer.
Citadellet i Amman er et godt sted at begynde en tur til byens arkæologiske steder. Det er stedet for det gamle Rabbath-Ammon, og udgravninger der har afsløret talrige romerske, byzantinske og tidlige islamiske rester. Beliggende på en bakke giver det ikke kun besøgende et perspektiv på byens utrolige historie, men giver også en fantastisk udsigt over hele området. Blandt de mest vidunderlige steder, du kan besøge, mens du er i Amman, er der nogle steder af særlig interesse ved Amman Citadel
Der er meget nysgerrighed omkring Qasr Kharana, for selvom det ligner et slot, er der ingen beviser for, at det nogensinde er i stand til at forsvare sine indbyggere. I modsætning til andre forsvarsborge er tårnene faktisk solide, og pilespalterne er for høje til at kunne skyde noget fra. Som et resultat af dets unikke konstruktion har dette vartegn trukket meget opmærksomhed til historikere, og besøgende rejser hertil fra hele kloden hvert år for at se dette unikke ørkenslot.

This tour was a good way to enjoy a road trip in some of the further reaches of Jordan and the heart of its capital. Each historic site had its own vibe. It was an interesting experience to be able to walk and climb around each of the places. After the desert we went back to the city and witnessed the real, busy and beautiful life around town with our driver, Safwat. He was the man to go to town with for sure — he knew the best places for everything, especially the snacks! It was a relaxing day compared to Petra & Wadi Rum.
We had a fantastic time on our day trip to Amman and the desert castles. Our driver/guide Mahmoud was just great! He arrived on time with a clean car, told us the history of each place we were visiting, was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of information about Jordan and Jordanians. He figured out that we loved history so asked us to spend as much time as we needed at each site without rushing us anywhere. He also gave us suggestions on where to shop and on where to find good Jordanian delicacies. When we asked him about kanafeh, he took us to a famous sweet shop to try it out (he even wanted to pay for it himself) During this trip, we have been to Turkey, Egypt and Jordan and have come across many guides but he was hands down the best we have had so far. Thank you Mahmoud for making our last day in Jordan so memorable!!
Friendly driver answer all of our questions, made us feel comfortable while driving us to the sites. Took so many pictures, enjoyed the experience.
Booked this tour on another app as a solo traveller. My driver for the day was Mahmoud who was very personable with a good sense of humour and gave a lot of details on each of the destinations on the tour. He also gave some great suggestions of popular areas to eat and have some downtime. I'll probably visit Jordan again and would definitely book another tour with this company and request this driver. Thanks!!!

Tour was great to see highlights of Amman and the desert castles outside the city within a day. The driver/guide Saada was very helpful throughout the tour.
