Fra Akureyri Havn : Godafoss Waterfall Tour for krydstogtskibe (V)

Beskrivelse

Were greeted by our guide Henry and driver Yuri at the terminal and tour started the moment we took off. Henry pointed out every landmark and gave us great little stories and information.. The falls were breathtaking - had an hour to wander around. Drive back was just as good with a quick stop for photos. Best guide we have ever had.
Great trip - pickup was just off the ship behind the huts selling tours. Guide was local and very informative & spoke fluent English. Scenic drive to the falls - just watch out for the midges which are a bit annoying especially near the top of the waterfall. Extensive gift shop onsite with snack and coffee facilities. WC is payable by card only. On the way back we stopped at a scenic viewpoint which looked over the Fjord and where the ship docked. Drop off options at the springs, botanical gardens, town centre or back to the port. Overall very good value considering the ships excursion was 3x the price.
The Godafoss waterfall is an amazing site, well worth the visit! The path is easy to walk, there are some areas to walk down closer, these are a little trickier. Neils was our guide and his stories of the meaning of Godafoss, as well as history and his personal stories of coming to Iceland and making it his home were great! He’s very funny, friendly, kept up entertained during the bus ride! Highly recommend!
Great tour, informative guide. Great stops and coach clean and modern. Pick up easy and ability to drop off in town very handy.
Fantastic trip , met at the port , coach waiting , guide and driver excellent and very knowledgeable and funny , the falls were fantastic , the way back we went over the mountans would recommend , dropped people off on the way back to the hot water baths and to the gardens and in town and back to ship .
Our guide, Niall, was very knowledgeable and made the bus tour fun. The Godafoss waterfall was beautiful and a must see if you visit Akureyri.
Great experience with the tour. The guide was knowledgeable and spoke English well. We had a bit of difficulty finding the tour bus until we found the Viator booth. Someone there instructed us to the right bus. They should have told us to look for the booth for registration first.
Great tour but very crowded location. Bus ride was very scenic and informative. Even though there is a path, it might be challenging for some and those with disabilities.
Beautiful tour with an excellent guide. Easy to locate the tour kiosk. The waterfall was gorgeous. Highly recommend.
The visit to the waterfall was wonderful. The scenery traveling to and from the site was amazing. The tour was mainly from the German cruise ship so the guide did most of his talking in German. The few English speakers on the bus only received a very abbreviated translation of what he was saying. The meeting location was poorly described so we had trouble finding the right bus. The address cited was not visible anywhere and the bus only had a small placard in the front window.
