For at klatre op til toppen (valgfrit) kan du købe kabelbil billetter direkte på stedet, vejr og vulkanske forhold tillader. Efter din uafhængige opstigning til toppen eller vandreture omkring Rifugio Sapienza, mødes din chauffør igen og overføres til Taormina, den mest glamourøse by på Sicilien. We actually had a custom tour from Palermo to Alia, hometown of my great great great grandparents, and then a stop at the Tasca di Almerita winery. Both were highlights of our stay in Italy. The tour company found us a guide in Alia that took us to the Church where my ancestors were Christened and Married, to the region of the town where they most likely lived, and to a coffee shop where he introduced to locals. Stefano, our driver, was very helpful, courteous and friendly and gave us a lot of information on the Country we were passing through. The winery had great wines and an amazing lunch. This was the most memorable day of our trip and can't thank this group enough.
Thank you so much for helping make our tour of Sicily so special. Your staff of drivers and tour guides were the best and we enjoyed the time we spent with every one of them. The places we visited and the thought that went into timing the excursions could not have been better. What a wonderful adventure on your island!
