I had the most amazing experience ever. This is the most scenic route of Europe. You will get a beautiful glimpse of certain parts of Italy and that of Switzerland on the same trip.
A complete disaster. Reduced the ride by 3 hours, I wanted us to take the ride in the Bernina Express in the dark of the late afternoon. We moved the city from St Moritz to Tirano and we would stay 2 hours in Tirano for lunch with Barbie guide. The meeting point is quite chaotic . Coach drivers unhelpful. Make sure you know the name of your operator ( Viator) is not the tour organiser . Need your passport for this one. This trip is not the red train trip.

As for the comment about this not being the Red Train, we can assure you that this is exactly the Bernina Red train, either with Panoramic or Standard carriages. Monica was an amazing tour guide. She was very caring and kind. She gave a lot of information and also helped one of the solo tourist who had different program for the day.

Its a long day and many hours in the bus, but the train trip is really worth it! It is one breathtaking moment after the other, both the nature and the engineering feat of the train track in itselves. It’s like 2-3 hours in St Moritz, which is more than enough for someone without the budget to splurge at Louis Vuitton and the like. Bring a neck pillow to sleep in the bus and you’ll be ok.
