Møde med vores guide og starte din mund-watering kretensisk streetbfood udforskning. 1st gennem markedet vi smage kager og bagværk fra den ældste bageri i hele byen vi beundre den romerske springvand ved siden af sultanernes hustru monument. Gå til denne gade med aromaer fra friske bagt og kureret kaffebønner og krydderier tager vi en bid på Heraklions ældste tapas butik og smage med nogle ouzo Kreterne lækre mezws-tapas små retter fuld af smag Variety er navnet.
Caffe græsk langsomt tilberedt på den gamle traditionelle måde. Alle hemmeligheder bag græsk kaffe i kombination med kretensiske kager og yami-tærter.
Gåtur mellem det åbne marked og brostensbelagte gader i den venetianske Heraklion by. Beundrer dens venetianske og osmanniske arkitektur samt den kretensiske kultur.
Nostra Europa har uddelt bygningen af ædle mødested siden det 14. århundrede. Efter tapas besøger vi byens lækre Bougatsa butik - opkaldt efter Vyzantion-indpakket og fyldt (creme-ost - greens-groundbeef) Der vil vi tage en bid af Grækenlands berømte sød og saltet bedste snack.

Magda was the best guide!!! She knows the city very well, she accommodated my husband’s request for seafood instead of lamb, and was very personable and fun. We highly recommend this tour with Magda. Two thumbs up!
A lot of food! Two stops and the second stop had at least 8-9 plates of different dishes tapas style. More then I could eat, very friendly restaurant manager, guide was ok.
A brilliant experience combining history with the delicious Cretan food and drink. Magda was a brilliant guide - the whole thing could not have been better!
We had an amazing guide Magda and we learned so much about Crete and we sampled some very delicious authentic foods as we walked leisurely through Heraklion.
Magda is AWESOME! we ate so much amazing food, saw so many unique and historical sights. We went well off the tourist streets and got a real taste of Heraklon. Magda is HIGH ENERGY in a GREAT WAY. Come hungry and wear your walking shoes!!!

We had the most wonderful food tour with Magda. She was a perfect ambassador of Cretan hospitality, history and culture. She took us to places in Heraklion we may no have gone on our own, and the food…first, I’ve never eaten so much on a food tour and we usually take one in a every major city we visit. Secondly, Magda took us to places that had unique offerings that only a local would know. One of the restaurants served us lamb, sheep and pork raised from the owner’s farm in the mountains. And I loved that she encouraged us to eat with our hands. We were immersed into the Cretan culture for a day. Loved it!

Crete Heraklion specifically was wonderful. We enjoyed tasting local cuisine. There was plenty to eat! The gelato was wonderful!

What an incredible experience with Magda! She is our new best friend! Magda truly made us feel truly special and provided us with the great history of Crete, as well as a truly amazing food experience. She is a tremendous host who wants to provide you the best culinary experience Crete has to offer. Our last stop, a sit down lunch at an amazing restaurant on the water included beer and wine, numerous appetizers to enjoy, and when we thought that was it, out came the entrees of fresh sea bass and mussels, capped off with amazing desserts. One of the best food tours we have ever experienced, and one of the highlights of our cruise through the Greek Isles! Book with Magda! You will not regret the experience

I would give this food tour 10 stars if I could. Magda is an excellent guide. We had so much food! All of the food was thoughtful and local to Crete. I love food history and Magda has a lot of insight on the history of Crete, culture and food traditions. We were with another couple so the size of our group was perfect and we got to make new friends.
