Kapitel af Apparitions - er hjertet af Fatima-helligdommen. På det sted, hvor Vor Frue af Fatima ville have været til børnene, blev bygget dette kapel. Historiens fortællinger fortæller, Vor Frue af Fatima havde i sit sidste udseende bedt om, at et kapel skulle bygges på det sted.
I 1385 erklærede kong João I fra Portugal, at han ville have et kloster bygget til ære for jomfru Maria, hvis hans hær var i stand til at besejre Kastiliens meget større hær. Han var vellykket, og Portugal fik sin uafhængighed fra Spanien. Kongen havde Batalha-klosteret bygget til Dominikanerne, selv om det tog næsten to århundreder at fuldføre. I dag besøger klosteret en populær dagstur fra Lissabon.

Today my wife, son and I did a Fatima tour with this company. Bruno was our tour guide. Visiting Fatima was a fantastic experience made so much better with Bruno. The real highlight, for us, was Eros, the guide who made the experience more magical: the real thanks goes to him, who accompanied us on two different tours (Sintra and Fatima) telling us the story of Portugal and the places visited, keeping us company with his sympathy and tranquility, without ever putting in a hurry, helpful and attentive to our requests. My family and I went on the Fatima, Bathala, Nazare and Obidos tour and Miguel was an incredible tour guide with a clear passion for his country and a wealth of knowledge of the history behind Portugal. His anthropological studies really shines through in the way he describes the little details of the stories he tells about each location we went to. Miguel was very respectful of our family's privacy so that we could enjoy each landmark at our own pace and his food recommendations were impeccable. By the end of the day, we left the private tour feeling like we had not only made a friend, but also learned so much about Portugal and its cultural heritage. As an added bonus, you definitely get your money's worth. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone who's visiting Portugal for the first time!

Thursday 14 August my husband and i went to a tour: Fatima, Bathala, Nazare and Obidos. Our guide Igor , very clever and nice gay, told us history and stories about the places. We saw beautiful landscapes, aboveall in Nazare, with its marvellous beaches and green sea.
