Beskrivelse

This tour with Miguel was amazing! He spent the whole day with us and brought us to exactly what we wanted to see plus more!
Pedro was a great tour guide. We learned a lot regarding Portugal and Lisbon as well as the sites. His music choice for the van was great too. I gave the tour 4 stars because the van was cramped, needs new brakes and AC vents in the back.
Excellent experience, Joao our guide was spectacular, explaining all the history at every place we arrived the whole time, attentive, kind, I recommend him 100%....
We chose this small group tour for a couple of reasons, the primary ones being that it was a small group that offered an opportunity to get to know other travelers while experiencing the rich cultural elements of the region. Once the 8 of us were loaded into the van, our guide, Miguel, began the drive while filling us in on the important elements of Portugal's economy - wine, olive oil and cork. While this may seem irrelevant to the tour, it was a great ice breaker to get us all involved in talking about each and asking questions. Our first stop was Fatima to walk the grounds of the Sanctuary of Fatima. Take time to go into the Basilica de Nossa Senhora do Rosario de Fatima and marvel at the altar and the stained-glass windows. At the opposite end of the grounds is the much more modern Basilica da Santissima Trindade, also worth a visit. The next stop was Batalha, and the Monastery, built in the 14th and 15th century to commemorate the Battle of Aljubarrota. The architecture of the Monastery reflects the era in which it was built as well as the influential architects. The stained-glass windows are some of the oldest in Portugal. Traveling on, we went to the seaside town of Nazare, where our guide drove us to a spot above the town where we could get a good look at the beach below. There are a number of small shops selling tourist-oriented items nearby. The next stop was in the town for lunch. There are a variety of places to eat on the main street, though Miguel recommended Taberna do Pouca Roupa, a seafood restaurant off the main street. The fish was fresh and prepared well. The final stop was Obidos, where we stepped into the oldest bar in Obidos, where one hundred-year-old bottles of wine sat on shelves. Next it was a walk to the pedestrian street and a walk along the castle wall. From there one gets an amazing view of the old city. We found the folks at One Day Tours take special pride in catering to the needs of their clientele. Our driver/guide was interesting, engaging and rather humorous, which is good in making everyone feel comfortable.
Good treatment from the guide (João). Very on time at pick up and didn't hesitate to translate to both, english and spanish language simultaniously. This is not so easy to find among regular tour guides. He gave very good tips and replied to all of our weird tourist questions. He kept a good balance between telling interesting facts and letting us to have free time at each destination.
It was fun! Wanted to have more time in each place but Miguel was a great guide.
It was a great day. Lots of information. Well timed at the venue
First off, Pedro was the best tour guide ever. Second, the tour itself was spectacular, we couldn’t pick a favorite, everything about the day was amazing. From the views to the amazing food. It was a memorable day. Would highly recommend the tour and if you are lucky enough to get Pedro, you will be guaranteed a great experience.
Very organized and informative tour by our friendly and funny Joao.
Excellent tour! Juan was very kind, provided an excellent description of the surroundings, and was very attentive to each participant in the tour. I recommend it in every way. The car was excellent and comfortable.
