Montreux with its beautiful micro climate was an extraordinary experience! Original plan was to go to Lake Cuomo but hotel was booked so we pivoted. Friend suggested Montreux which I never heard of. Well when you are given lemons and things turn into lemonade! The train station was across from our hotel, so simple! Book your train on the SBB app or take the train through the mountains which was our only bad move. In Montreux we stayed at The Grand Suisse Majestic with a spectacular lake view room. We peeled ourselves away from our room and walked the promenade down to the castle. Climbed up a steep hill and ate dinner at a great cafe. Earlier in the day we went to Charlie Chaplin World, which I thought would be a yawn....anything but! Go! Someday we will return magical Montreux.
Ana was absolutely fabulous! I wish we would have booked her for a full day. The weather was miserable and none of that mattered. One of the best tour guides ever

Was very pricey for the experience. I had expected more insights, local history, stories, etc- but were given recommendations for restaurants the guide had never tried, and walked through the Christmas market that we had already seen. Also needed a bus pass- so we spent extra time getting this from the hotel. Would have liked to have known to do that beforehand.

Bryan was a very known and friendly guide. He shared much of the town history and made it very interesting. He provided recommendations for activities and restaurants when we asked. We had to alter his tour schedule a bit and he accommodated our request graciously. He even offered to get on a bus with us to help us get where we needed to go. This tour provided a very good sense of the city, I would highly recommend.

Our guide Pavel was excellent. He checked what we wanted to learn about before the trip and concentrated on that. After the trip he sent links to help us with further local exploration

Ana was a great source of information about the influences that shaped Montreux into what it is today. She took us to great locations in the old parts of the city to show us homes with dates over the doors from around the 1580s time period. It was a great experience walking through Montreux and getting a feel for the city's history as well as visiting the promenade.

We had an excellent tour guide who started our tour at the Freddie mercury statue. We walked along the lake for the entirety of the tour. Vitor was very knowledgeable about the music history of the area and the town of Montreax. He offered great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit once the door was over.

Vitor was a great guide, he told a lot about the city and its history and its significance in pop culture. He also recommended very good restaurants as well as took amazing pictures of us. I recommend it to anyone who has time to take this tour.
