Efter at have kørt ned ad Svanen og over det åbne hav, kommer du på øen, klar til at begynde hele dagen på eventyret. Udforsk øen på cykel (den eneste form for transport - biler er ikke tilladt), opdage afsondrede strande, snorkle blandt revene og møde det lokale dyreliv. Du har mulighed for at afvige fra Perth eller Fremantle.

A great way to spend the day on Rottnest Island. Ferry worked perfectly, bikes were of a good standard and perfect for the islands hills. A lovely day had by all.

The island is beautiful and well worth visiting. The ferry ride was fast and comfortable. Everything went smoothly. My only complaint is about the bikes. They don’t have gears, which makes it very difficult to ride them around the island and limited how fast snd far I could go. If I went again I’d hire a bike once I reached the island, not through this company.
We had a great day riding around the island. Unfortunately one of the two bikes we hired only worked in first gear. It took us a while to realise this and we were already quite a way on the ride. My husband deserves a medal for doing the whole circuit with just first gear. What I'm concerned about is that when we returned the bike the young man wasn't interested to set the bike aside for fixing the gears. So I guess the next person who hires that bike will get a surprise. Staff were really friendly though.

Upon receiving any negative feedback about the bikes, the crew flip the seat of the bike to face round to the back. This signals that the bike needs to be pulled off the vessel and fixed in the bike shop. Take time to enjoy the beaches..we rushed thinking the cycle would take longer than it actually did.
The bikes are not great quality and I had a problem with mine. Bring a rucksack as no basket to put a bag.
We booked a Rottnest Island ferry and bike hire package through Viator for $476 for three adults, two children, and one infant. The booking allowed us to include an infant but provided no option to add a bike seat or trailer. On arrival, bikes were only provided for the adults and children, leaving no safe way for our infant to travel. We had to hire an additional bike and trailer from another hire centre for $60 and spent over an hour resolving the issue, reducing our limited time on the island. I have tried calling and emailing Viator since February with no response. Due to the lack of customer support, I would give 0 stars if possible.
Excellent trip with a comfortable boat ride, reasonable bike, and great staff. Very hot weather with minimal shade on the island. Bring lots of sun screen!

The Rottnest express was easy to book and changes can still be made after the booking is done. We had to change the date because of weather, which wasn't a problem. You need to be at the ferry point 30 min before the boat leaves. Parking near the ferry can get extremely busy, even on week days, so allocate enough time to find parking. The Wilson car park is right at the ferry point, there are some other car parks nearby, but you will have to walk. The crossing is quick and easy and staff were great. We ordered bikes from the company to go around the island. The bikes, unfortunately were a let down. They are not very well maintained and the 3 gears hardly worked. There is a helpline you can contact, but we didn't want to waste time, so we didn't. The island is quite hilly and riding these very mediocre bikes around was pretty tough. Overall a very good experience when it comes to the ferry and the island, the bikes however need to be upgraded.
Great day trip to Rottnest Island from Elizabeth Quay in Perth. Only downside was rough open water return crossing, quite glad when we got back to the river! Would definitely recommend.
