Besøg vores økologiske, selvbærende gård beliggende kun 15 minutter fra hjertet af Antigua! Her vil du riste, male, brygge og nyde en kop lokal guatemalansk kaffe. Lær om gærings- og tørringsprocesser og oplev vores pulpfjerner i aktion i høstsæsonen. Udforsk vores avocadoplantage og lav din egen guacamole (sæsonbestemt) og majstortillas. Oplev den nyeste honningproduktionsteknologi og lær om biernes kritiske rolle i fødevareproduktionen. Lær om bæredygtige landbrugsprincipper, herunder kompostering, gødskning og genbrug. Under turen vil du også møde gårdens nyeste tilføjelse: Vores høns og ænder, der producerer økologiske æg og naturlig gødning til alle vores planter og træer. Vores passionerede ejer, der taler flydende engelsk og spansk, er dybt investeret i turen og tilbyder en engagerende og lærerig oplevelse for alle. Vi kører forbi byen San Pedro Las Huertas for at komme til gården. På gården skal vi gennem kaffeplantagen og smage lidt kaffe Gå forbi avocadoplantagen Lav guacamole (i sæsonen) og majstortillas Lær om vigtigheden af bier, se den nye teknologi til at få honning, og smag den. Se 4 forskellige økologiske kompostfremstilling og lær hvordan du selv kan lave den. Lær, hvordan vi får det til at være økologisk.

Maykal was amazing with our kids and explaining all the farming techniques. The whole family had the best time; it was hands on and we ate delicious food! This was a highlight of our time in Antigua

The tour of Maykol’s eco farm was a highlight of our trip. We booked a group tour but it ended up just being us. Mykol taught us so much about the coffee process, avocados, honey, and about sustainable farming in general. His passion for what he is doing for sustainability and to support his family really shone through. He also showed us the new Airbnb he recently built on the property and it was stunning. Can’t say enough good things about this tour. It was excellent!

We had an incredible experience visiting The Little Green Farm last week. Our group of 6 were picked up at the hotel by Maykol (the owner) for a short ride to the farm where he shared an overview of Antigua and before we had even arrived at the farm, based on Maykol's info and personality we knew we were going to have a great time. The history of the farm, Maykol & his family and of course all of the info he shared on coffee beans, growing, harvesting, production along with the avocados and honey was both fascinating and fun. We returned from the tour with a great deal of new knowledge and entirely new appreciation for coffee. Thanks again Maykol for a great tour! PS - i am enjoying a cup of coffee from his own farm grown brand "Cafe de Elisa" as i am writing this review.

Maykol’s knowledge and passion truly shine through, making the visit feel authentic and intimate from start to finish. The experience is hands-on and interactive, giving you a real appreciation for the hard work, complexity, and care that goes into running a sustainable farm and producing high-quality products. We also really enjoyed meeting all the farm animals and pets—they were such a fun and memorable part of the visit. It was truly an amazing experience being walked through the farm with Maykol, Eli & the farm dog Gunner. We felt so welcomed and the farm is beautiful. It was so cool how you are walked through the process of everything. Maykol is very knowledgable, you can tell he loves what he does it shows. The avocados are the best I’ve had! This tour was a highlight of our time in Antigua. Just minutes from town, the farm offers an immersive, hands-on experience in truly sustainable, organic agriculture. We roasted, ground, and brewed our own exceptional Guatemalan coffee while learning the full fermentation and drying process—fascinating from start to finish. Walking through the avocado farm and making fresh guacamole and corn tortillas was unforgettable, and the honey demonstration gave us a new appreciation for the essential role bees play in our food system. Seeing composting, fertilizing, and recycling principles in action made sustainable farming feel both practical and inspiring. Maykol’s passion, knowledge, and fluency in both English and Spanish made the entire experience engaging, educational, and personal. A delicious, thoughtful, and truly enriching tour I highly recommend.

The tour was outstanding. Maykol shows his true passion for preserving the land, and sharing skills, while living his dream of being a father and husband.
